Good fidget toy for kids. My granddaughter just loves making all the string designs.

My daughter loves this. It brings back memories when I was a child and my mom taught me how to do the cats cradle , tea cup and saucer, crows feet (mentions as witches broom in the book), and Jacob’s ladder. It had a lot of activities with different levels of activity. Jacob’s ladder has the most steps. Great for use with friends also!

Keeps my 7yo entertained. Some of the more complicated patterns are tricky but the instructions are good.

When my daughter, aged 10, asked about cats cradle I immediately thought of this book from my childhood. How funny that I found the same exact one 20+ years later! Same. Exact. Book! She was so excited when we got it and though I was skeptical (she’s heavily into video games) she immediately loved this game and was so eager to learn all of the combinations? Configurations? I don’t know what you’d call them, but she mastered even Jacob’s ladder within a couple of days, and then worked to perfect her technique and speed. The only downside is that she got through them so quickly, but I’m sure if she’s anything like me she will keep the book for reference as she continues to play with the string. Great fidget, I was blown away it kept her attention all day for multiple days!

Fun game and keeps the kids bus for a long time brings back memories from when we use to do this as a kid

Bought this for my daughter for Christmas, and we both had so much fun with it! We did all the hand plays that were in the book multiple times, and I taught her cats cradle that I played with friends as a kid. 10/10 recommend

Daughter loves it. It replaced one she lost. She is 40 years old and still uses it not to chew on her nails.

I bought this as a stocking stuffer for my 12 year old twin daughters. They loved it and were able to learn all of the different games with the instructions in the book.

Bought as Xmas present for my granddaughter whose mum enjoyed the game as a youngster. Hope the GD does too.

I bought this as a gift for an 11 year old and she has had hours of amusement from it. The diagrams are really clear and colourful. I especially liked the fact that the book is spiral bound, so you can open to a page and it will stay there without closing again. This useful when your hands are occupied with the string! The included string is good quality and still going strong after many months - no fraying at all. I would definitely recommend this book; it’s a good, old fashioned pastime.
