The War Machine - Revoltech Review
IRON MAN - the War Machine. This is a pretty awesome figure. There is plenty of articulation and the unit itself has exceeded my expectation in terms of detail and paint job. The figure has a bit of a weight to it (compared to the other revoltech figures that I have). It comes with that shoulder gatling-gun, which you can lean from the left shoulder to the right shoulder and pretty much aim it everywhere you want. There are a total of 3 pairs of hands (open palm, closed fist, and another that looks like its for flight). It comes with 3 fire/firing item thingy that you can attach to the gatling gun and the arm guns. There is a little orange box, as true with most Revoltech figures, to keep your small pieces. Pros: The figure is very accurate in terms of color and detail. There is plenty of articulation that can be used to pose this guy to numerous stances. The figure is steady enough to stand and kneel on its own. Pretty solid feel. Awesome looking gatling gun and arm guns. Lots of cool poses that you can do with the figures. Cons: The figure only comes with a few too little accessories. (I wish there was more stuff in it). I wish this comes with either Rodey's or Tony's face. Recommendation: I vote get it... maybe wait a bit for the price to come down a bit... This is a pretty awesome figure. I would get more of it and give it away as gifts for ANYONE who like the Ironman movies. Hey let me know if you have any questions about the figure - pls click the useful if it is... so that others will see this review as well... Thank you!

Who is inside War Machine?
Growing up as a heavyset fair-skinned redheaded white boy in an all black home in an high-rise apartment complext in Mississippi was an enjoyable experience. It wasn't until my sweet seventeenth birthday at Popeye's Chicken (everyone in my family worked there so it was easier to hold birthday parties there) that I began to question the validity of my origins. The thing is, no one ever said anything to me about it. In a family of nine kids and Big Momma, everyone had their responsibilities and it always seemed to work out well. Having never seen my dad, I constructed some heroic image of what he would be like. Somewhere along the lines of Dirk Benedict from 'Battlestar Galactica' and Lee Majors from 'Fall Guy' and rechargeable hearing aid fame. Both, with red hair. I was at my birthday party that a tall thin black man showed up at Popeye's. It wasn't until a few of my older siblings exclaimed "dad!!" that I really took notice of the man. big Momma, always had a happy disposition, but I've never seen Big Momma so angry. Still being on shift, when she looked up and saw the man my siblings called "dad", she dropped the fresh biscuits from the oven, jumped over the counter with an ice cold jug of cane iced tea and smashed it on the side of his face. That poor man did not stand a chance against her never before seen wraith. It was at that time, that I began to question my parental origins. The cops showed up and took the man away. Turns out he had a restraining order from all of us and went back to prison. Later that night, when everyone was asleep, Big Momma came into my bedroom dressed in her nightgown and sat on the edge of my bed. It was then that I learned of my true origins. As an infant, I was left on the loading dock at Popeye's chicken. Big Momma took me in and raised me as one of her own. The man I saw today was prettymuch out of the picture and spent most of the time in and out of prison. War Machine has always been one of my favorite comic book characters. The message he sends to everyone, is that no matter what we look like on the outside, we all have or long to have a black man inside of us. I do like that the figure is a bit stylized in it's bulk compared to the "real" movie counterpart, but in getting this action figure, I had hoped that it would of revealed that inner black man, but the mask did not come off. Much like my life, I am confused as to who or what is really inside.

Excellent if you are a 5 inch scale collector.
This figure has the perfect combination of paint application, sculpt, and articulation. That being said, do not buy this figure if you collect six inch scale or larger. It is not worth the asking price in my opinion. I bought a 1/4 scale NECA predator for around the same price that I paid for this figure. It is cheaper now then it was originally, but I do not feel that this figure is worth more than $35-40. The figure is very small. I would love for Revoltech to start making 6,7,1/6, or even 1/4 scale figures. This is the smallest figure I own, and i still display it, but I do not like the scale. If you collect smaller scale figures, this is easily a five star figure. Pros: Excellent sculpt Excellent paint Excellent articulation Cons: Cost Scale Difficulty standing up

GREAT collector's item, not a toy
I usually only write reviews if the product is REALLY good or REALLY bad, and this product falls in the former category. First off, unless Amazon/its retailers listed drop their prices to under $50, buy this elsewhere. Ebay has several reliable sellers who sell this (which I discovered after ordering through Amazon. Too lazy to return it and re-order.) I received the item quickly, within one week. The box is amazing in itself, definitely worth keeping, not like those Hasbro packaging. The figure itself is a work of art. All the details are exactly as the photos show, if not better. All the pieces work well, and the articulation is awesome. The paint job is fantastic; on display it could look like it's made out of metal. I'm a little undecided on the special "blast" effects that you can attach to the guns, but I've left them on for now. I recommend looking a review of this product up on YouTube, don't just take my word for it. That's what I did before making this purchase. If there are any cons, it would be the same as the other reviewer's... that the figure is top-heavy and definitely harder than Hasbro figures to stand. As a smaller note, even with the interchangeable hands and amazing articulation, it's tough to replicate the famous repulsor/Heisman-esque pose. In that aspect I'd have to say the Hasbro 6" Iron Man Mark VI (which, by the way, is a decent collectible for the price) does a better job. Lastly, not a big deal to me but might be to others, is that the mounted Gatling gun uses Revoltech ball joints to move around, not the mechanism you see in the movie. I've noticed that the Hot Toys version has that detail down, but to me it doesn't really matter. All in all though, a must-have if you can afford 40-60 bucks for a legitimate Iron Man collectible. I'm looking forward to completing my collection.

The Best War Machine
When I got this in the mail, it was much bigger than I expected. Beautiful packing is the first thing your going to notice, You don't want to throw this box away! Personally, this has been my first revoltech figure since I got the Revoltech Dante way back when. This is very worth the 50 bucks. For you first time buyers of toys from the Japanese market. The high price point is because this toy has over 30 points of articulation, 4 extra hands, "blast effects" and a little carrying box. If I had any complaints about this figure is that he's a little top heavy and you would need a stand to keep him up without him looking awkward.

One of the Best Superhero Figures Ever
Like in the comics and movie, War Machine is very durable and strong. He scales well with other action figures in my collection and feels really solid and sturdy in your hands. The paint job and detail on this figure are fantastic, really capturing his film debut. He is one of the most highly articulate figures I've ever owned, easily putting him in my top favorites. With so many joints and how sturdy they fit together, it makes for a variety of fantastic poses. The three sets of hands he comes with make it even greater. You can put him in many poses, like him punching someone or even saluting. The little gunfire bits also do wonders. They are even compatible with some of my other (including non-Revoltech) figures. This is a figure that is great to own, for both Marvel fans and action figure collectors.

Don’t buy this
When I received this figure it just wasn’t what I expected. The hips are loose and the figure overall feels poorly done. Doesn’t match what revoltech is releasing nowadays. When I returned the figure the seller claimed it was damaged when received and didn’t provide a full refund. Apparently the price of this figure include the shipping cost which they dont have to refund if they think something is wrong. Overall experience with this figure was terrible. Figure feels like it will break which is why I sealed it back in the packaging immediately to return. On top of the the service provide from the seller was terrible. Felt like a scam or something they have definitely done before.

Id stick with figuarts on this one.
The package was opened. The plastic not in the right areas. Joints feel loose. The figure is great but i was expecting toe articulation but too happy with how it looks to want to give it up.
