FR-14IL-75GPD 75 GPD Flow Restrictor 1/4" Quick Connect-H-R2069QC, White

This 75 GPD restrictor only flows 400 ml/m which would be at home on a 36 GPD RO Unit, so please check the specs of this before you buy. Product works fine and I'm only unhappy with the fact that it flows about 1/2 what it should. Much too restrictive.

The only downside to increasing the flow capacity of any RO unit is finding quality parts are a reasonable price. We used to run out of water all the time. So when it was time to replace the RO cartridge, I threw away the old 18 gallon per day capillary flow restrictor, and upgraded to 75 gallons per day by matching a new catridge to this very nice flow restrictor from Applied Membranes. Everything was right here on Amazon at very affordable pricing. And now we never run out of filtered water.As to the flow restrictor itself, it is a quality built unit and stamped with an arrow to show the direction of flow and a part number that indicates the flow rate. I prefer this cartridge type solution to capillary tubing because it is easy to get to and there is no mystery about the flow rate of your system. I used a sharpie to write 75GPD on this unit 'cause the part number is hard to see under the sink. Plenty of instructions on the internet to help you switch over. Just remember to find and toss your old flow restrictor.

It would get 5 stars for performance,But like others have mentioned - it did not come with the retention clips need for this to work! For me - It just so happens that I had some clips that I was able to use from another device , so it wasn't a problem..It dose how ever work great!They should mention that its shipped without the clips!

First off this flow restrictor is not the same as the image shown. The "Quick Connect" was a total lie. All the fitting has inside of it is an o-ring (that is it, no locking mechanism for the hose) and a 1/4" line slides out as easily as it slides in. So in other words if you put ANY pressure on this flow restrictor it simply slides off and your RO outflow hose squirts water everywhere.Who ever attached these fittings to this flow restrictor needs to get their head checked. I assume that either the seller changed their flow restrictor to a new supplier and didn't realize the problem or they have purchased 5 star reviews in order to trick people into buying this faulty product. Do not buy this.

I only gave this 4 stars because of how picky it is to have the tubing ends PERFECTLY STRAIGHT. I know it's required for all these types of fittings, this one needs a good tubing cutter. Once it's sealed it works perfectly. My kitchen is quiet now because there is no constant water flow sounds emanating from the discharge. I am also getting more water with less TDS. Buy it and just make sure of clean cuts.

This is a good product and very good price that I can find on internet. I recommend to others this product.

Problem: The advertising sticker placed on the "flow restrictor" covered the original sticker showing flow direction. Had to remove the advertising sticker to determine "flow direction". Otherwise couldn't tell which way to install unit.
