Can I use this for a countertop? Will it sustain being washed off and is there something I should put over it to ma it practical for a countertop?

Not good for countertop. It is a surface like parchment.I don't think it will stand up against water.It is great for walls and covering boxes/cabinets vertical or dry surfaces

Would this block light coming through a window?

In deed this paper would block light from the window. It is heavy and sticks quite well.

Are you able to see a seam when you place ine roll on the wall next to the ither?

I actually returned it only because I couldn’t use it for the project I was brainstorming on. Eliminating a less visible seam would be contingent on your skill in hanging the paper.
