A great product for watch lovers
I've owned great watches for a long time and have extremely high quality watch boxes. But I've wanted something special like this for many years. I own 2 very expensive watches. I just wanted a cool watch box for these. I didn't buy it because I didn't want to spend a lot of money. But the moment I saw this wooden patterned, illuminated and electronic watch box, I really liked it. It was mine for just £60.I immediately touched the outside of the product. It had a really stylish, high quality and luxurious design. Anyone could tell by looking at the box that it would contain expensive watches. Thanks to a wonderful and detailed mechanism, you can create a cooler product.burning lightsrotating clocksOther adjustable settingsLockable special boxStylish and expensive interior designThe great features I was looking for were in this box. I thought I would regret it, but I was wrong. Glad I bought this box. Sometimes I like to reward myself.

Looked great but didn’t work
FromAppearances the unit looked good quality unfortunately nothing worked! The lights came on but nothing else was at home! Could hear a faint buzz from the motor but nothing went round. Oh! The internal switch didn’t even switch it off. Very disappointed as this is the second piece of Chinese junk I have received from Amazon in as many days.

Nice display piece for my watches
Having a few watches that need constant rotating but not all of them means that a display box with a mix of both rotating positions are static ones was a nice plus when it came to choosing this watch winder. It's a sleek dark wood look to it with a cream interior that feels weighty the way a quality piece of display should feel., the black trims around the watch displays are also a nice add on, although would be just as good with a simpler clean look i feel.It comes with a mains power supply that stays plugged in then two power buttons on the back that can be separately turned on to operate the winding displays, which, when running, are very quite which i paid a lot of attention to as they sit in a bedroom with me. Having both controls is also nice as i like to have different settings for different watches based on manufacturers recommendations.

SHAME: BIG SHAME…..POOR QUALITY CONTROL RUINS WHAT WOULD BE A BARGAIN!
The media could not be loaded. PROS:1) ELEGANT, CLASSY LOOKS2) WINDING SLOTS FOR 4 WATCHES3) UP TO 6 ADDITIONAL DISPLAY SLOTS4) TWIN MOTORS, 1 MOTOR PER WINDER5) 4 ROTATION MODES WITH INDIVIDUAL CONTROLSCONS:1) APPALLINGLY ASSEMBLED RUINING THE IMPACT OF THE CASE2) APPALLING MACHINING OF DIVIDERS3) VERY THIN FAUX LEATHER COVERING THE INTERIOR4) BETTER RUBBER DAMPERS REQUIRED ON THE LID TO PREVENT IMPACT VIBRATIONSThere’s a lot to like about this 4 winder case. When you take it out of the excellent packaging (albeit cheapish packaging) it does “Wow” you on first sight. There’s thick lacquer/varnish on a dark mahogany type wood. It’s difficult to ascertain if this is solid or a veneer. At the price it’s unlikely to be solid mahogany. However, the actual case is well put together and it has a black textured fabric on the bottom to prevent scratching your furniture. You open it up and you see there are the cushions for the display watches not in place. That’s the same for the dividers which will separate the individual display spaces. The watch holds 4 AUTOMATIC movement watches. THIS IS NOT FOR QUARTZ WATCHES, i.e. watches that need a battery. Manual watches which don’t have an automatic movement and require that you wind them will NOT be wound by this winder (or any other winder). The winding slots have cushions/forms that consist of two pieces. One is the “solid” cushion/form, the other is a “sleeve” which wraps snugly around the form. This allows two different sized holders for either ladies’ watches or men’s. Removing the outer sleeve will fit smaller wristbands. My wife’s watch in the winder has a 40mm diameter face. Mine has a 43mm face. There’s enough room for both on one winder, however, had it been a large diver or watch like a Hublot (who am I kidding? If you’re buying this at £80 you ain’t got a real Hublot!) I am talking about the larger, chunkier watches. That’s where using the second winder is useful, if you only have 2 automatics.Others have complained about their watches not sitting on the forms and falling out as the watches are wound. I have a 19cm wrist, and my wife’s is 14.5cm. Neither of our watches fell out and it’s been on for the last 8 hours. The winders have separate on/off switches at the rear (NOTE, THIS VERSION DOES NOT HAVE BATTERY OPERATION & AC.) It actually clearly states this in the description. Another reviewer bemoaned the lack of battery operation, saying he couldn’t take this on holiday! Let’s get one thing straight, this is NOT PORTABLE! It measures 31cmx24cmx17cm (LxWxH). In the photos you can see what a cheapo Parker pen looks like for scale, and my monster 34in widescreen monitor. This is BIG! It’s not going to fit on a bedside table or a dressing table. I’m still figuring it out. It’s on the family desk on our gallery landing at the moment. I’m thinking of putting it in my office, but even with a large “L” shaped desk, I’m wondering where it’ll sit! There’s a misconception with watch winders. Some people think they wind your automatic watch without you having to physically wind it. The “self-winding” mechanism in an automatic watch is called the rotor and it’s basically a weight in the shape of a segment of a circle. The rotor spins round inside in clockwise and anti-clockwise directions. It reacts to the position of your wrist. The weight will always point downwards, due to gravity. The rotor will wind the watch, but even with an automatic watch, it’s best to wind it, by turning the crown 30-40 times. When you put it in this winder, the main spring will fully wind. In general wear, it takes 8-10 hours for your mainspring to be fully wound by the rotor. Watches have power reserves. The ones in the photos have 80 hour reserves. This means the watch will run for 80 hours from a fully wound mainspring. In other words, if you take it off after wearing, it’ll still be running after 80 hours (3.33 days). The watch winder is useful, to save you having to fully wind your watch before wearing it. It also serves another purpose. Due to gravity, watches have different levels of accuracy in different positions/orientations. Leaving your watch in a case or on the side by your bed, will impact the accuracy causing it to gain or lose time. This winder like all others, has a programmed function which spins the watch and then rests for a period of time (depending on the setting). This allows the Watch to maintain its accuracy much better than leaving it in a static position when not wearing it. This is because it will rotate and stop in various positions. This winder has 4 modes of operation. 1 Clockwise, 2 anti-clockwise, 3 both directions, wind for 2 mins pause then reverse, and 4 reverse directions winding for 2 mins, pause, run for 8 hours then stop for 8 hours. These are controlled by individual knobs in between the winders. Each of these can be isolated by an individual on off switches on the rear.Someone complained about the display sections. Look at my case. With my Tissot smartwatch, the space required is much more than my personal tracking device, sorry, Apple Watch. Thus having the flexibility for display is actually a good thing. Whilst my Tag is off for servicing and repair, I can keep my Apple Watch bands, my Certina and Tissot bands in the case. So you see, there’s a massive amount to love about this winder. Now for the horrible things about this winder.Unfortunately, here’s the ugly truth. The case interior is a disgrace with spots of glue in between the winder controls, over spill glue where the display area meets the winder, and……..a full length dollop of glue running the whole width (and more) of the glass (see photo with black card behind glass). Of course, it’s not glass, but acrylic. In line with marketing BS that protects the real damage to our environment in the pursuit of profit, this transparent plastic is called “organic” glass. As a man of science, organic means that it has at least one Carbon atom…..as do all products made from oil (that includes Greta’s polyester Adidas tops and technical fabric trainers…….all from oil, and they don’t decompose. Recycling is far more energy intensive than actually producing the materials in the first place. Recycling is another corporate lie designed to keep oil at the heart of the economy, so the U.S. can maintain the status of the Dollar).ooops, I’ll get off my soap box.Back to this box. You can’t remove the glue without damaging the plastic, sorry, organic glass window. It is quite thick, and in no way flimsy. However, as most of you who have ever tried to get glue off plastic using a solvent, the end result is never how you imagined it. There’s so much good to like about this product. It’s an incredible shame, that whoever made it was either blind or two years old or both. As for the person who packed it, don’t get me started on him or her. Sadly, I can’t recommend this winder, and I will be returning it. You might lucky and get one made by a sighted individual with an IQ over 5, and hopefully over 5 years old.

It’s a wind up.
Well this is what it is, in fairness the quality of the wood finish is very good but the blue LED lighting has stopped working and the noise level has increased a little since new and as for the lock that’s hopeless hasn’t worked since new,, but it’s out of return now so just hope it doesn’t get any worse but like everything made in China it’s not good worth half the price.

Totally silent BUT no power supply included! I don’t know how long it last on AA batteries!
This is my 2nd auto winder and 500% better than my previous purchase (Amazon is still selling it!)Well made, elegant and simple, clean design and a WOW!!! totally silent motor, my previous purchase woke me up with its noisy motor. The pads to hold the watches are a bit small for a regular gent’s wrist so I had to “modify”to prevent the watches wallowing around. All in all, great value for money and even better when I get my mains outlet which was not embedded in the polystyrene packing!
