Works well
This works very well. I don't have to go lug a big heavy machine around And set it up just to hem some pants. it's for small projects like that. Everything about it is the same as a big machine as far as threading and all the buttons. Would not be a good idea for like a big quilt, just more for small repairs.

Not worth the money
I bought this sewing machine back in May. I wanted something to hem my pants & skirts - nothing too fancy. It seemed to be working fine the first couple of times I used it but about a month ago the thread tension dial on top broke of the machine. There was no way to fix it and you can't really sew without the tension thread so I had to throw it out (return date had expired). So I went back online and found the MagicFly mini sewing machine which was about $5 less than what I paid for this Singer machine and I like the MagicFly much better. You can tell it's well made, a little bigger and heavier than the Singer but seems to be a better quality made machine than the Singer. It's a shame because I really thought that given it was a Singer machine it would be more sturdy. Guess I was wrong. Also, didn't like the fact that it did not come with the A/C adaptor. Which meant I had to pay extra and purchase it separately. Bottom line, not well built and not worth the money.

Easy to use... If you know what you're doing
I really love this product. In the first few days, it has paid for itself. I repaired a stuffed animal, a pair of pants, and a dog bed.Caution: NOT for a beginner in sewing. This is a miniature sewing machine. It does not make using a sewing machine easier. I strongly recommend getting a tutorial on a medium or full size machine first. That said, it is no more difficult than a normal size machine. Take your time testing a few pieces of fabric first. Most likely, you will break the thread very quickly. Do not be discouraged! Re thread the machine and keep at it. My thread broke almost immediately. I reset, and have sewn 3 complete items ( roughly 30 inches of seam) with no issues.I would definitely recommends but have patience.

I love it. . .
It is perfect for my needs and has been working really well once I got used to it. It can be a little awkward at first. You have to already know how a sewing machine works, I wouldn't recommend it for a complete beginner. It's tiny and light, don't expect it to do the duty of a full-size machine, be realistic with your expectations. Paying closer attention to the included instructions would solve a lot of the problems I have heard people mention. I bought it for light use, sewing fabric strips together in the process of weaving rag rugs. It's perfect for that job. It's not the right machine to mend jeans or sew a whole garment with.

Not just a toy. This is a REAL sewing machine (until it jams)
This is one review nobody had to prompt me to write. I bought this tiny sewing machine because I was too lazy to take the drape down off the rod to fix the hem, and to snug up a lightweight plastic tarp on my carport so it wouldn't flap in the breezes so hard, plus sew up a tear in the tarp. I thought it would be a longshot if it actually did more than fix the drape hem. Well I think I just spent $19.66 really well. It sewed the drape with nice little even stitches, no skipped stitches. It is tiny but it has more weight than I thought it would, but still is a feather if you are standing on your tippy toes trying to stitch the tear in a tarp. It did a great job. This is not just a toy, it's a real sewing machine. I was going to give it to my grandniece but I think I'll keep it! I'll send her another one.P.S. I've had this little sewing machine now for a few projects. It's sewed just fine until it jammed and I've not been able to unjam it. Also the 4 batteries don't last very long . I think the second batch was a little better, lasting about 1/2 hour. There's a port for a AC/DC 6 volt power adaptor but the sewing machine doesn't come with one. Would have been nice if it had. You get what you pay for.

Don't let the size fool you
This is a sewing machine. My first ever and it's kinda fun! I'm terrible at it but in the right hands, it does a great job. Don't let the batteries fool you..... it runs long enough to make a couple shirts. Your rear end will get tired before the batteries do.

Never been able to use machine
I have had the machine 8 months and have had no success in using it. I am a beginner and it may not be good for beginners. Instructions are not that good and photos are not clear. Machine kept jamming on test materials. Tried to replace bottom bobbin without success. Will probably give it to goodwill so some else can use it. Thought it would be easier. May be user error but I usually don’t have problems using tools or machines.

Great Portable Double Stitch
This is great for those jobs that it is not practice to use your regular sewing machine. We used this to create a hem on some outdoor curtains, where regular measurement were required. We got the job done in quick order, and could not have done it without this product. The thread provided is not so great but with this unit it is easy to spool new thread. The one Con is location of the power switch, I kept on hitting power when trying to position. But after a few times of scaring myself learned quickly how to grab the handle when not wanting to stitch. I would highly recommend this product.
