Ullo Full Bottle Replacement Filters (10 Pack) With Selective Sulfite Technology To Make Any Wine Histamine And Sulfite Preservative Free

The taste of the wine when using the Ullo filters is actually smoother and nicer than when poured directly out of the bottle. I like to get moderately priced red wine, between 15.00 and 25.00 a bottle. I find that by filtering out the sulfites and aerating first, drinking wine is a much more pleasant experience. I also appreciate that the business stands behind the product. When I reported an issue with a couple of the filters leaking into the wine, I received a package of filters to replace the defective ones. I appreciated that! The only drawback is the price of the filters. I figured that it added about three dollars to each bottle of wine consumed. That is pretty costly. Other than that, I am very happy with the product!

I love wine, but like many others, it gives me terrible migraines. American red wines (and countries like Australia and Chili who like to sell in American markets) are soaked in oak barrels which give it that oak flavor and extra sulfites which are the cause. California Pinot Noir's are especially bad! European red wines (French, Greek or Italian) don't do the extra oak soak so they don't bother me but you can't always get a good one in my area. We moved from the city to a rural area (there isn't even a total wine store for 137 miles!) So I found these filters at Amazon! (when you live in the country there are trade offs, but Amazon is your lifeline!) In the summer we like to drink margaritas with tequila. The regular brand we use was out at the store so I tried Jose Cuevro, special silver. However, 1 margarita later I had a whopping migraine. I read online how it's made (cause there is nothing on the label) and it turns out they age this tequila in oak barrels for 12 months - ugh! Rather than toss the bottle, I decided to try and filter it, worked like a charm! Now, thanks Ullo, I can enjoy sulfite free wine and tequila!! And by the way, I filter my liquids through a funnel too, don't need the expensive one they sell with this product.

*UPDATE* after messaging the seller, they sent me a refund even though it has been 7 months since my purchase. Amazing! Thank you, will be buying more!The reason for my 1 star is because after slowly making my way through these filters, I am finding 5+ of them have not been sealed properly and the filtering sand has leaked out making them unusable.It's been awhile since I purchased them so I can't really return them. I truly love the way these filters make wine taste. I won't drink wine without using it now! The down side is they're pretty darn expensive and now with half or more being wasted, I'm really disappointed. Hoping the seller can help a sister out because I really do enjoy these.

Love my Ullo. It has been getting hard to find the filters, and I understand because they are magic. I really love trying all sorts of wines and this pulls all the sulfites out so there is never a headache from a glass of wine. I am sure winemakers never intended us to suffer. And Ullo makes the best product.

After researching extensively on options for 'anti-hangover' products for wine, I decided to purchase the Ullo Filters (I opted to just buy the replacement filters as I saw another comment about using a funnel rather than buying the expensive and hard to use device for these which was much cheaper and easy to do). For hangovers, I will say HANDS DOWN this product WORKS. We have used the filter on a variety of different bottles of wine (from $10 - $50 bottles) and no hangover every single time we used it (we drank bottles without in between to ensure no placebo effect).The downside to using these filters are: 1) it changes the taste of the wine and not in an enhancing way (I had read some people thought it was similar to decanting and this is simply just not true). The taste of the wine is not as great as it would be without the filter so I would recommend not using it on your more expensive bottles. 2) It's an all or nothing. One filter is good for one bottle of wine so if you just want to use in on a glass, you're wasting a packet and you can't really save the filter to use later. 3) Any wine not drank that night doesn't keep. We tried filtering the wine and only drinking half the bottle (one glass each) and then sealing up the remainder of the wine but it was horrible the next day.Overall I would recommend using this product if you want to avoid a hangover. The product works for that for sure. For nicer bottles, consider decanting and drinking in moderation.

I originally found this product at Costco and purchased it for a Fathers Day gift for my Wine Snob Husband. He drinks only the best wine and has every accouterment that is known to man....but this came out and I thought, Well, this is something he doesn't have. I didn't even care if it worked (to be honest:) it was just something he didn't have....as it turns out this is one of his favorite wine toys! it makes his amazing wine taste even better!!! I think it blows his mind as much as mine. Anyway, if your on the fence about this product, don't be, it really does make great wine better! It really softens the Tannins and takes out the Sulfates...It's 100% worth it!! Love this product....maybe because my husband Loves it!

My hubbie got me the whole set after I had a few hangovers from drinking my wine. I was surprised that it actually worked. No more headaches or hangovers, and now I notice if I'm at a restaurant or someone's house and I drink wine that hasn't been filtered. I ALWAYS get a headache, it's awful. But at home, I cannot drink my Cabernet without it! Totally worth the price. It doesn't work on some wines, though. When we have guests and they use it for their sweeter wines, like Moscato, I notice it doesn't work as well. It'll just sit there and drip so slowly you'll go mad. I assume the sugar is what's clogging the filter.I haven't tried it on Port, white wines, zin, or cheap wines (you know- the kind on the bottom shelf), so I can't say if they filter those well or stop hangovers.But if you're a Cabernet Sauvignon or Pinot Noir drinker, this is for you.
