NOW Foods Supplements, Co-Enzyme B Complex with Alpha Lipoic Acid and CoQ10, Nutritional Health, 60 Veg Capsules

A brand I trust. Great B complex vitamins.

I contacted NOW Foods through their online form with the following question: -Pictures at https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MG5UXN1 of Now Supplements, Co-Enzyme B Complex with Alpha Lipoic Acid and CoQ10, Nutritional Health, 60 Veg Capsules have discolored capsules. -Is this natural color variation? -I am interested in trying this product, but would like to know what is a safe color variation. Are the capsules pictured on Amazon not a safe natural color variation and should be discarded? NOW Foods replied: Thank you for your inquiry. These images show the supplement after exposure to moisture, most likely humidity. It is important to keep these in the original bottle (I see some images are not) and to keep the freshness packet in the bottle. This should be stored tightly sealed in a dry location. Locations that have high humidity such as Florida or the Gulf of Mexico should store the bottle in the freezer. I actually had a small issue this past year with high humidity in Illinois. I take these every day and only this past year had an issue with the moisture. The capsules should appear pale to bright yellowish with orange to pink speckles. They will not come out of a fresh bottle looking like these images. Thank you, NOW Foods Product Info I inspected the capsules I received. The color was all yellow. With a magnifying glass, I can see interspersed pinkish flakes.

I almost threw away half a bottle because of this. I contacted NOW via their website contact. Message is me, Response is NOW: Message: Hello, is it normal for the capsuls to turn color (dark brown spots) for your Co-Enzyme B Complex? They aren't near expiration at all. They were normal looking when originally opened and turned into spots of varying levels of brown in the tan color. Thank you Respose: Thank you for reaching out to us. B vitamins are very sensitive to moisture/air, and they will start to oxidize causing them to turn. They are still safe to take, but just to try to keep them as dry as possible. I will be sure to include your response as I didn't read all the reviews until after mine changed color and it appears alot of people are just throwing them away. (Bought from NOW on Amazon) If these look good, I will start taking again then. These are stored in the kitchen cupboard and put in a med organizer to keep on track. They need to stay in original bottle with freshness packet to try and keep out of the air as much as possible.

I have searched all over for the best all-around vitamin b complex. It is something I believe everybody should be taking daily, for health maintenance and preventative. I’ve searched many brands, this is the only one I’ve found that includes the active versions of ALL, and for a cost effective price. For instance many supplements will provide the active forms of everything - but then include the cheaper form of B12. Some will cheap on the dosages, requiring 3 or 4 capsules just to reach the dosages supplied in this NOW product. Also the inclusion of biotin is especially high and important, in my opinion. There are other brands which will provide almost the same ratios of these ingredients but for a higher price. Almost none also contain vitamin c or biotin, or only a low dose of it. I keep returning to this brand. Effective, absorbable, many health improvements of which I am using it for. Consistent quality. Have ordered 3x.

Good product. No after smell and it says expected when you trick it with water in the morning. I have noticed some increase in my overall health with it. I’m using it as a doctor recommendation supplement. Not sure exactly how the quality agreed of the actual supplement is, but it does seem to work.

As long as you eat something prior to taking it’s great

I haven’t experience any discomfort from this vitamin. It is a great daily B vitamin for me.

Live in Maryland so not an extreme humid state. Last 2 bottles have went bad about half way thru the bottle. I leave the packet inside and in the original bottle and my house stays at 73 degrees or below 24/7. Once they turn this color they make me nauseated. I hate to switch brands but good lord, I can't keep throwing away half the bottle every month. I will start keeping them in the refrigerator to see if that will keep this new bottle I just bought. So frustrating and a waste.
