I didn’t fit the pen I was ordering it for, but it did fit another one we have perfectly.

I have always admired the cross pen, its sleek design and smooth writing. I was delighted to find a pack of cross pen refills at a reasonable price, and eagerly opened the package to replace the old cartridge in my pen. I inserted the new refill, and tested it on a piece of paper. To my dismay, the ink skipped and stuttered, leaving gaps and blotches on the page. I thought it was just a matter of breaking in the refill, and hoped that after a few strokes, the ink would flow freely and evenly. But no such luck. The refill continued to misbehave, frustrating me and ruining my writing. I tried another refill from the package, hoping that it was just a defective one. But the same problem occurred. I was disappointed and annoyed, and wondered if I had wasted my money on a faulty product.I do not know what is wrong with these cross pen refills, but they do not live up to the quality and reputation of the cross pen. They are unreliable and inconsistent, and make writing a chore rather than a pleasure. I would not recommend them to anyone who values their writing and their pen. I am sorry to say that these refills are a cross I have to bear.

Maybe I got something from a bad batch, but I was disappointed in these refills. Mine are blue, broad point. The ink skips and leaves spaces, the color is rather light and pale, and the line is not bold, more like medium. Too bad these are the only refills that fit Cross pens.Update: I must have gotten a bad batch. I got some more Cross broad point refills, and they're fine. The only drawback is how skinny these refills are. They don't hold much ink and don't last long.I also tried the Montverde broad point refills, and the line is not as broad. So I'm sticking with Cross.
