Great Product But Received A COUNTERFEIT
I ordered this bipod twice- once in ‘17 and recently in ‘20. The first one worked out great that I decided to buy the same one for a new rifle build. I was disappointed when I realized the recent one was a counterfeit. At first glance they look and “feel” the same. I had the original bipod at my home away from home so I wasn’t able to realize the subtle differences right away.I took the counterfeit to the range and within a few rounds out of my .308 I noticed a lot of slop. The Legs were retained just fine but the the cant was very sloppy even with the tension knob cranked all the way down. Another 2 groups down range and the problem was back. This time I notice how easily the knob was marred from contacting the legs.I was upset I had wasted match ammo and detached the QD mount/bipod leaving it off to the side for further inspection at home. Upon further inspection and no interruptions or distractions ICompared the counterfeit I had on hand with a recent photo online. Here’s what you need to know about the counterfeit:- It's stamped “Atlas Bipod”- The locking plates are chrome plated whereas real ones are satin gun metal made from stainless steel.- Rough edges from stamped steel/poor finishing. The real one is milled and has smooth contact points- The tube diameter is different on the legs. If you have the Atlas feet attachments they will not fit on the counterfeit.- The QD mount doesn’t have the ADM logo on it- Knurling is soft and not aggressive- Rubber feet is hard- the real one has soft rubber- the Knob has 5 points, the real one has 4!I hope this helped anyone who may be worried they have a fake/ counterfeit Atlas bipod. Don't let this deter you from the getting one. The real one is a great product and performs well.Amazon gave me a refund 👍🏼 Purchased replacement off Midway

Light, Compact, Flexible and Built Like a Tank
I won't repeat what all the other reviews have said relative to quality construction. Lets just say it has it in spades and looks like it belongs on a high quality firearm. It is just in another league from ones I have had before and is a whole new concept with a spring less design. As other reviewers mentioned it is a bit stiff at the start but loosed up nicely with only minor manipulation and remember it is designed to be used on an x lb. rifle so if you try to manipulate it not an a rail with the rifle it will seem stiff as it should be. The cant/tilt knob locks down nicely in only about half to three quarters of a turn so if you do not want this feature then it is easy to lock it out. Even if you elect to use it is very firm so your rifle does not go wobbling all over. The lever mount to the rail was too tight on my mil spec rail out of the package and is a bit tricky to adjust but has a huge range of adjustment and can be done without tools and once set it you are good to go for that rail. On top of that it has its own locking mechanism which prevents accidental release no matter what you snag it on. I wanted a tripod I could leave on a Bullpup rifle so it had to be light and compact and it is. I tired several of the in grip models as well as others and while some were quick to deploy they set up at pretty much a fixed height so would not adapt to much. This will deploy fairly quickly but then has the advantage of being able to be fine tuned if you have time and the situation demands it. Folded reward towards the grip is still allows me to fit the whole package in a discrete carry bag which is exactly what I wanted. Not cheap but light, compact, flexible and built like a small tank.

Excellent quality and appearance
Product came next day in excellent condition and just as described. This is by far one of the best quality bipods I've seen.

Mixed feelings
Not as rock solid as I'd expect. I'm not sure if that's by design or not.The materials it's made of seem premium and it has good adjustability - but once a setting is selected, you can still kink the rifle around a bit - I'm not sure if that's by design or not.

Very high quality bi-pod
Pros: I have this mounted to the bottom picatinny rail on a Colt LE6940....1. Very easily mounts and detaches from picatinny rail with ADM S Lever. A must to have if going to be shooting in the field and you don't need the bipod dangling in front of your weapon.2. EXTREMELY well built, the quality of the materials you can appreciate the second you mount it to your weapon.3. Very aggressive look, no cheap looking springs shown as with most bipods.4. The pan and tilt functionality work very well. I shot 25 yards at our local indoor range (farthest distance available indoors here) with the bipod resting on the shooter bench. With that, it was very easy to move the weapon over to each side of the shooter bench and still pan the weapon over on the bipod to see center target.5. Sure, it's very expensive for what it is, but being hand made here in the states, it is worth it.6. The removable feet make it nice just in case I want to add spikes for grass or soft dirt. Other than that, the included rubber feet do well with most surfaces.7. VERY light weight, does not add to much frontal weight to the weapon.8. When not in use, with the legs folded towards muzzle, they stay up nice and straight and do not interfere with forward grip.Cons:1. Price, but not worth docking a star on the product. Save your money and buy this mount, you will not regret it.
