I want to use 680S without any landline or any connection to voip etc. I just want to link it to my cell phone. so that when i come to home, i do not have to use my cell phone. all calls get directly transferred to this phone. is that possible ?

It will work great for you.No landline or VOIP needed.Just connect via bluetooth once and it will hook up every time you come home.

How many handsets can work with one base phone.

Without referencing the owners manual, I can safely say 6. Though not for everyone, I love that 2 cellphones can be bluetooth linked to the base unit (charging) and incoming cell phone call can be answered with any cordless phone in the house. The drawback is that text messages do not appear on the cordless handsets, only on the cell phone itself.
