Samsara Herbs (60ml) - Ashitaba Extract Powder (60ml / 57g) 5:1 Concentrated Extract

I previously tried another Ashitaba product in a very fancy bamboo jar. It was good, but this product has more oomph, and I love that there is a measuring scoop in the sturdy bag, just very convenient. The effect of Ashitaba is very subtle, but that doesn't mean that it is a weak effect. It just takes about two weeks before you notice a subtle lift to your body. Just very nice. Best taken in a smoothie or herbal tea. I was fortunate enough to benefit from the discounts for buying multiple Samsara products, which saved a bunch, and all the products were VERY high quality (judged from 28 years of experience with advanced herbalism).

This review is based on taste alone. I just received it…like 30 minutes ago. Based on other reviews, I was expecting something I’d have to choke down. When I received it, I immediately transferred into an empty airtight tin. It smelled slightly sweet and thought for a second that it had sweeteners… it had that kind of smell but not a bad scent. I tried a bit of raw dried powder straight and it was pretty mild and slightly sweet. Again… I was braced for a train wreck. I decided to try it in my coffee. I’m pretty picky on adding powders to my coffee and then my coffee ruined despite others saying that they didn’t notice a change. I wasn’t optimistic. Color me shocked when I put a scoop into 16 oz latte and I couldn’t taste a single darned iota of change. Holy crapola! Finally! Something I can actually add to my coffee and stick with instead of trying to choke down with water. I’m on board! As I’ve only had a half a coffee, I can’t speak to the benefits. But since this is something I’ll actually do daily, there’s at least a possibility.

Love this source of Ashitaba! No chemicals, no pesticide after taste. This is like finding gold! I feel terrific from this Ashitaba! I tested some others, and this is the only one that I found was grown without pesticides! Absolutely love this product!

I just received my package of powder today, so I haven't had a chance to see what the health benefits are going to be for me personally. I have to say though--I like the taste! I wasn't sure what to expect, as some have said it doesn't taste good. I make a broth out of organic greens that I grow in my indoor Tower Garden and then add seaweeds to it that I buy from Maine Seaweed--I freeze it in ice cube trays and then thaw out enough to make a cup of broth to drink each day (or at least several times a week). I decided to add my Ashitaba powder to the cup of broth and it was perfect! Taste and texture blended right in very nicely. I will update my review once I've been using it for awhile.

This is a quality product. I am very happy with this purchase. I really did my homework on the health benefits and which company to buy from . I am not disappointed. What I didn't expect was for it to taste good, but it does. I put a teaspoon into my green tea and it really adds to the flavor.
