Bought this hematogen for our child because it’s healthy, but of course we had to try it too — it’s the taste of our childhood! It’s nice to see that it still tastes just as good. We’re happy with the purchase — it’s not only a healthy treat for the kid, but also a sweet bit of nostalgia for us.

I'm anemic and I love these. They're more of a brownie like texture than a chocolate bar, but when your iron is low, these are great. I very much prefer them to other supplements. The taste is like what you might expect from an (American) off-brand, vegan, thick fiber one brownie. It's not full of chocolate and sugars, but I personally really enjoy them.

I become anemic a few days each month, as most women do. I find myself lethargic, sick and overall feeling like crap. I stumbled across these while looking for Russian candy and did some research. While I cannot take Iron supplements since they upset my stomach, I decided to give these a shot. Well, I have to say they taste pretty damn good! The texture threw me at first, I expected it to be smooth like regular chocolate BUT due to the grittiness of the sugar initially as you chew it begins to melt. I have to say I’d suggest this for anyone who is anemic or just need a boost of Iron without the gastric upset. I eat one bar a day for 3-4 days and I don’t feel as awful and tired as I use to. Once you get past the Ick factor, knowing it’s made with cows blood it’s actually decent.

If you're ever curious about the infamous Russian blood candy, trust me, this stuff is actually really very good. The color puts you in mind of chocolate, but similarities end there. It has a chewier texture. It would appear almost crumbly but it actually sticks together well. It is very sweet as well. You don't taste the blood at all. I really love these snacks and I buy them a lot. They are a little on the expensive side, but such is the price of exported candy. Highly recommend.

Odd crumble when you bite it. Taste is like bakers chocolate. Very small bar for the cost. Worth it ro have as an iron supplement.

They almost taste like molasses. They don’t melt like normal chocolate which is huge. They’re small little pieces so you can break it off and not have to eat all at once. I actually enjoyed them but my kids didn’t lol
