I'm new to opinel, and new to pocket knives. it seems that they all have numbers, but the description for this one does not. is it a no7?

Does the handle warp in water? Thx

In my experience, ANY treated/painted wood will eventually succumb to water/liquid. That being said, I have used mine in wet environments hunting and camping and to gut trout. A quick clean water rinse (use mild soap if bloody), a light wipe with WD-40 and air dry in the open position and I've yet to have a problem. A great knife at a great price.....wear it out and let us know.

Is this knife user friendly for a lefthanded person?

This knife really requires both hands to open and close but it is symmetrical. It opens by rotating the metal cuff at the top of the handle and then pulling the blade out of the handle. You can then lock it open by rotating the metal cuff back.
