Was part of the Mother’s Day gift assortment my husband and kids gave me. The candle itself is super elegant with sort of an Art Deco vibe. The smell is divine! I burned it for a few hours today and it scented my whole main living area without being overpowering. I’m so pleased with this candle! Great gift. Highly recommend!

I had it in a small half bath and could barely smell it.

This candle comes in a metal tin with a mid-century modern wallpaper print that gives it a cool retro vibe. The scent, Whiskey Caramel, is a mildly sweet gourmand fragrance that leans more toward burnt vanilla than Kentucky bourbon. But appealing, nonetheless. Considering the opening of the jar is pretty small, the aroma still manages to permeate the entire room without overwhelming. The only thing missing is that atmospheric glow you get with a candle in a glass jar. Because the tin is opaque, this throws almost no light at all. Not an issue for me, but if you're going for mood lighting, this probably isn't the candle for you.

The design of this candle is gorgeous and thus a nice piece for my coffee table, but light it and you might find that there is little to no scent other than that of melting candle wax. Kind of disappointing, but I’m not a huge candle user anyway, so it’s okay to sit on my coffee table unused.

We light lots of candles in our house, and the La Jolie Muse Whiskey Caramel candle is one of the nicest we've ever enjoyed. It comes beauticully boxed, and the candle itself is contained in lovely large tin with an art deco design, but the presentation--as nice as it is--places a distant second when compared to its scent. I can't state in words how wonderful the scent is. While many of the candles we burn have fairly standard scents, this one is so different -- not too sweet or pungent, neither masculine nor feminine. Do I smell caramel or whiskey? Not really, but the fragrance is nonetheless wonderful. In terms of intesity, it will provide a nice light scent in a 10x10 area, which is about average for canles of this size. I burned it for about six hours a day for a week straight, and it's only about half-way gone. My only criticism, and it's a minor complaint in light of the wonderful scent, is that becuase the container is wide, it burns down leaving a "tunnel" of wax along the sides, so you won't actually use all of the wax, unless you carefully remold it once it's burned down. In terms of value for money, I've easily spent 4 times the cost of this candle for candles of equal quality.
