HOLSEM 5 Outlets Surge Protector Power Strip with 2 USB Charging Ports (5V/2.4A) and 4' Heavy Duty Extension Cord,Black

i bought this product early last year and just started using is after my older one finally gave out... i plugged this surge protector with ubs adapters in and the first use it worked great, then it never worked again....plugging my cell phone into the charger part and nothing happened... switched the switches on and off and checked my outlet in wall... electrical wall plug is working fine...this device does not charge your cell phones... no use to me, so if anyone out there is looking for a charging device (all in one type) for there cell phones, I would suggest you skip this product and search another company...hopefully you will have better results then me.

The product I got was alright. The USB chargers aren't really that great, I mean they will do the job but don't expect miracles. What gets me is the big button. It is kind of loose on mine and being so big just makes it too easy to turn it off. The cord is alright length and with others on the market on sale I got a different one that is more built with better protection. Not to say this is bad, just that I kind of was hoping for a little more. Price is a little higher than should be.

First impressive thing was how well the product is packaged. The boxes that the strips came in were of good quality and reusable for other things. We took the strips out right away and put them to use. The strips are heavy and appear to be well built. We live in a historic building, in a historic district, which means power spikes are an issue. I am confident that these will do the job. Now I just need one with a six foot cord.01/09/2018The first one is going strong, so we bought a second one recently. This one arrived with what sounded like a loose piece inside. I immediately registered for the warranty and contacted customer service via email. Considering that it was a holiday week, I feel that the matter was handled quickly and the replacement is working fine.

This is very nice power strip that even has two USB plug-ins. I used it specifically for keeping my giant indoor A/C unit from shorting out my room. My praise goes to how well and often it turned off the power.My only complaint is the wierd switch. One power has been shut off for protection, it can't usually be switched on without the cover, which goes over the switch. It's mostly there to aid the asthetics of the surge protector

No problems... arrived and performed as advertised. Importantly, some reviewers = wrong about being unable to install on a vertical wall. Think the problem occurs when correct screws not used. Make sure the head is flat on the thread side (not tapered 45 degrees like a typical wood screw.) If the slot side is rounded and not too deep and the thread side is 90 degrees to the centerline around which the threads are cut, the whole strip will drop right into place and hang there on the wall. Critical for pilot holes in wall to be level and correct distance apart, be sure to measure.

I honestly purchased it because I needed a power strip and it has 2 USB ports. I have purchased 2 of them and am still impressed with the quality of the product. Granted they are power strips and that makes it hard to rate without giving Father Time it's due diligence and wear however it is very nicely made and it's soft on the eyes

The best surge protector I've ever bought. I love the protection cover it comes with. It's a bit loose but of course, this is expected since it's a protection covering the real switch. Looks just as described and feels very sturdy. USB ports work well and charges your phone at regular speeds. Overall I love this product and would definitely buy one more.

The person who designed the keyhole slotsshould be fired. The reason I chose thisspecific model is so I can mount it horizontallywith the cord extending to the right.The model X5 cannot be mounted at all.The mounting screw head is supposed to fit intothe large hole, then the body of the screw issupposed to slide into a channel until it seats.The shoulder of the channel is too narrow andthe screw head hits the side of the channel,preventing the screw from going into the channel.The power strip pops of the wall with any tug.Grinding off the shoulder does not help becauseat the end of the channel there is a wall thatblocks the screw head and prevents the screw bodyfrom reaching the end of the channel.Also, the ledge that the screw head is supposedto rest on is too narrow.The keyhole slot is not large enough to acceptany screw larger than #6. The mounting holes aretoo close to the edge of the case.The distance between keyhole slots is 5.43271 inches;how is the customer supposed to measure that? Thedistance between mounting holes should be an easilymeasured number, such as 6 inches.The product does not include a template for placingthe mounting screws.The keyhole slots should have been "plus" shaped sothat any horizontal or vertical orientation is an option.Changing to + shaped slots would also be an opportunityto change the spacing of the outlets to create at leastone transformer outlet.The product arrived with white smudges on the surfacethat could not be cleaned off. The case is held togetherwith tri-wing screws; it is a hassle to have to find aspecial screwdriver to take the cover off.In general, the interior of the product is well made;the most glaring exception being the wire from the powersource to the USB ports, which was routed incorrectly andbecame crushed under the post that connects the two halvesof the case.On the plus side, this model comes with a four foot powercord, which is perfect for my application. The powercord is very heavy duty. The power cord includes a Velcrostrap to hold wires together in a neat bundle. The sidesof this model are straight and parallel; this makes it easyto place next to the underside of a shelf or next to anyflat surface. There are separate indicator lights for"Power" and "Protected". The power switch comes with acover and the overall appearance of the product is attractive.The product arrived well packaged.
