Cutter Essentials Bug Control Spray Concentrate, Kills Mosquitoes by Contact For Insects

I’m sure glad they make something that I can use around my animals. I’m sure I can make something similar but it’s just more convenient to use this. It works just fine for me.

This works great and is safe for pets and plants but it took nearly a whole bottle just to treat my backyard once. Meanwhile, I was facing another issue; I bought an electric fogger on sale but couldn’t find any pet-safe solution to put in it. So I unscrewed the cap on the Cutter essentials and poured out what was left into the fogger, along with about a quart of water. That ended up being enough to fog the entire backyard, without wasting nearly as much product, and it kept the mosquitos away for most of the 4th of July holiday. As a bonus, this stuff is cheaper than most of the brands designed for use with the fogger.

We used this to spray our lawn instead of an insecticide, as a way to get rid of fleas and ticks. Its a mint and essential oil spray. And its worked. No fleas or ticks on our pup, and the lawn has actually been in better shape. But it does nothing for flies or ants etc... just be aware of that.

Love the smell! This works great at being more natural then most bug killer stuff and smells so good for days after spraying it.

Remember that this is a more benign contact poison, not one that stays around. It needs to land on the bugs. Make certain crickets and other bugs are more exposed by mowing lawns short, trimming bushes, and moving items out of areas to be sprayed. We prefer to spray in the late evening after most pollinators and wildlife are gone and to allow the product to remain wet for longer than in the heat of the day. We wish we could get the product in a concentrate or larger size to cover more area without using additional plastic containers. These types of hose-end containers seem to vary in how well they work and the water pressure they work with, so time to coverage may change.

I live on 3+ acres and have mosquitos in the wet summer months. Because I also have chickens, dogs and horses I am very cautious with any pesticides. My one horse gets eaten alive by mosquitoes and suffers with welts so keeping the blood sucking pests down is extremely important. I will also try anything to kill them. I tried this once and was pleased with the results and have bought it many times since. Once you spray it on the grass it takes a day or two to really make a difference but it does. It kills the mosquitos and the other flying pests and there are no adverse effects to the chickens, dogs or the horses. I now stockpile this when on sale.One bottle does not cover the whole acreage but I will use in the damper areas or shaded areas where the mosquitos lay eggs and live during the heat of the day. You can smell it but I don’t find the scent unpleasant and I think that also helps repel pests.

I use to order this for my backyard. It makes my backyard smell good for when I have guest and it scares mosquitos away for a certain time. I don’t know why but it says it can no longer be delivered to my house in Downey, CA. Makes me sad I can’t purchase this
