Adjustable 0 to 20psi Propane Regulator Valve QCC LP LPG Gas Stove 1/4 Inlet/1/4 Outlet Red

I bought this regulator as a replacement on a Weber Q grill. It works great, but is capable of flowing way too much fuel for this grill. The red adjuster knob has to be turned almost off to be the correct pressure for this grill. Once it’s adjusted properly you just use knob on the grill. I also had to get a threaded adapter since this regulator has 1/4” female threads and the grill valve has 1/8” male threads.

I am a tinkerer and build things that pop into my mind. This has about 20 good uses. I built a garage heater so while I'm working out there it's not so cold. I like to use the variable regulators because not everything uses the same pressure. This seems to do a really nice job.

This worked perfectly to replace the unit that was on my Q Weber grill. However, you will need to buy some adapter fittings to make it work. There is at least one video on YouTube that shows you how to replace your old regulator with this one, and the video also includes a parts list.

The adjustable regulator seems to work very well and is certainly easy to adjust. I've been using on my propane system now for 2 months holds the exact inches of WC very well. You will need to buy or borrow a gauge to measure the specific inches of water column (WC) required by the manufacturer for your particular propane appliance(s). The inches of water column is usually provided in an owner's or installation manual but also can be requested directly from the appliance manufacturer. I'm very pleased and ordering 2 more for neighbors.

Although I have not placed this regulator in service so I could do a complete review I want to provide buyers with a key product description discrepancy. The description says this unit comes with 1/4" female flared ports...THESE ARE NOT FLARED PORTS. They most likely are 1/4" NPT. This is important to know because the buyer will likely purchase the brass fittings to complete gas line connections at the same time as buying the regulator (like I did) only to find out your new brass fittings won't work.

I have to chime in here to say that I've had the same experience using on my Weber Q series grill as many others here. This regulator works for about a week (or even less!) before it doesn't allow propane to pass through. I thought it was a defective unit and ordered another and got an even worse flow. These don't do a very good job adjusting pressure at all either. Complete waste of time. I may try another regulator, or ever call Weber for help, but in the mean time had to purchase the newer Q2800u. If I like the newer grill I suppose I will hand down my trusty Q2200 to a loved one once I get things figured out. Hate throwing it out because these are really great little grills!
