3-String Open G"GDG" Modal/Blues String Sets - The"Blues Set" (Low G, Middle D, Middle G)

I was hoping for a set of strings to match the ones on my Blues Box Guitar, but these do not match. The third sting is a thin piece of wire. The third string on my BBG has a winding and is thicker. Also I needed the forth string because mine broke during tuning. This set has a string that is .030 and mine was .032 thick. Not real happy, but I guess they'll work. The set that closely matches mine is higher priced and doesn't have PRIME shipping either. Usually you pay a little more when PRIME shipping is included, but this is RAPE!!

These are great strings for your 3 string CBG. The product description says "Low G-Mid D-High G (SKU #34-015-01) is our most popular cigar box guitar string set". So beginners like me would naturally order this set of strings. But if you watch most of the YouTube videos for learning CBG the open G tuning uses Low G Mid D and Mid G. The high G should be a Mid G. That should be the most popular set. I have yet to see any video that uses the high G.

These strings work well for a cigar box guitar. GDG is common tuning and these strings fit the bill.
