Wish I Bought These Sooner
I don’t know why it took me so long to invest in quality base layers, but I am so glad I finally did! These are warm, comfortable, and the wool helps minimize odor. I will say, the material stretches out after a couple wears (before you wash and dry them again), but that’s expected with a natural material. Just don’t expect them to stay tight like traditional leggings, because those have plastic fibers rather than wool, which is what these are made with. They wash and dry easily, but little fibers and fuzz tend to stick to them. Since they are a base layer, I’m not concerned about that. Definitely a great purchase—I feel like I’ve been living in these this winter!

Very happy
I have worn these once and am impressed. I am roughly 5’3”, and btwn 125-130 lbs. and have an extremely hard time buying pants on-line. The sizing charts never seems accurate for my lower half/height but the one for this product is spot on. I purchased a small and am very happy with them. The waist is almost too tight, but I generally like my waist bands on the less-tight side. I suspect most people wouldn’t have an issue with it and a size M would probably have been way too long and not snug-fitting enough to wear under other bottoms. That being said, even though it’s almost too tight for my liking, the waistband itself is comfortable. Good width of elastic with thicker material around it so it doesn’t cut into my waist. Length of the underwear is perfect and the material is soft enough for my liking. I am someone who gets cold very easily and they kept me plenty warm on a 3 night backpacking trip where temps got into the mid 40s. I’ve washed them and lay flat to dry and they still fit/feel like the first time I wore them.

Nicer than expected. Glad I sized down.
[This is spouse of account holder.] Quite nice—much nicer than I expected, definitely. Perfect weight—truly midweight. Just-right warmth for my comfort in our drafty-ish 1930s-built house, and breathable (as all real, pure merino wool stuff is).Amazon’s sizing thing said I should get a medium, but I am very glad I got a small (and, judging from a couple comments, I’m thinking an extra-small would have been better, as I’d like to wear these under pants sometimes). I recommend!

Excellent fit! Wear as a base or as regular leggings.
These are the best fitting and coziest leggings I've owned. I'm already a fan of wool leggings having worn out my last pair but these are far superior in all ways. They're very finely woven and very soft. I don't wear them as a base layer but as leggings with a long top. That's how good they look.Speaking as a resident of Southern Arizona, the fact they're wool is a plus because it's a natural product versus synthetic fabrics. We're in Spring weather now and midweight is very suitable for the cooler temperatures. I'm planning on buying lightweight when summer comes and the temperatures are in the 100s. A/C is everywhere so they'll be perfect. Thanks for the completely recyclable packaging of no plastic, no dyes, just a very classy natural cardboard box with a sweet picture of a happy lamb gamboling. I'm recycling the box as a gift box.

ok (2 year review)
had these for two years, wore them often. In those two years, they have acquired many holes through fabric-weakening/wear (primarily in the thighs).I'll say this -- when I invested in smartwool leggings, so many years ago, they were a solid pair of leggings for the entirety of the 6 years I had them. (Alas, a rafting trek took them out via a rock to the knee.) They ripped, and I replaced them with these. I expected these to be a similar level of quality. Hmm. I was naive. These lasted about a yearish before starting to fray and thin at the thigh, ripping in another few months. Is that bad? Nah. They held up ok and are a solid alternative. But if I'd paid 40$ more I'd still have a pair of leggings. Now I have to buy another. Of course, most people can't afford 100$ leggings. I can't. But, I think in the future, I'll save my money until I can buy real smartwool, or merino from my local camping outlet.

Super soft and warm base layer
These are exceptionally comfortable. They fit perfectly and are so soft. My only complaint is that the knees stretch out and get saggy very easily but if used as a base layer it’s not an issue, I probably wouldn’t wear them as leggings on their own.

Can wear all day without itching
They run a big big, I ordered a medium and had to return for a small. 5' tall, 125 pounds. Not as smooth as cashmere but not so itchy that you can't stand them. Nice.
