MERIWOOL Mens Base Layer - 100% Merino Wool Midweight Long Sleeve Thermal Shirt

it was helping to keep me warm on my trips in the colder months this year. I like that this was the only shirt I had to pack other than the 1 I slept in on my 3 day trip. actually, I didnt even pack this shirt bc I wore it on the plane. it was nice carrying around a lighter backpack on these trips. every night I hung it up and put it back on in the morning. it always smelled good and it never wrinkled or got stinky. it was in a colder month though. when it arrived, it did have an odor that I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to live with. I hung it up to air it out for a few days and then I eventually washed it and hung it up. the original odor has now disappeared and I love wearing this shirt. I feel guilty wearing it when im not on a trip bc u r not supposed to wash it after every wear, so it never comes out of my closet unless im on vacation. it is super soft and breathable. I bought this shirt in a men's Large (I am female) because I was hoping for a shirt with more length in the body and sleeves than a traditional women's shirt, and I got exactly what I was hoping for. I have quite a few wool 'base layer' shirts, and this one is as good as any of them. The color ('Sand' - a café au lait color with subtle striations) is lovely and very versatile in my wardrobe. I wear this as a lightweight wool sweater (jumper), so for me it is an outer layer and not a base layer. But even though it's lightweight, it's very warm. And because it's 100% merino wool, I know it will be cool in the warmer weather as well. I am going back to see if they have some other colors I might fancy, and if they do, I will be getting another... or two.Some notes on care - I wash my wool sweaters in an impellor* washer, using a mesh laundry bag and cold or cool water, with ordinary laundry detergent. I dry them on a hanger and pop them back into the closet. I have had no problems. At the end of the season, I pack them away flat to allow the wool fibers to rest over the summer. So I think the care is a lot easier than most people imagine.*I mentioned that my washer is an impellor model because I wouldn't try to do this in an agitator washer, but I have never tried it, so perhaps I am being over-cautious.

Top notch base layer. Super comfortable, soft and warm. I've worn mine for the past year-ish, and the quality is very good, washing it does not shrink it, color is still good and it fits me really well. I am 6'4", 235 lbs, 36" sleeve, and I bought XL big and tall. Recommended.

I bought this as a gift to my husband. He loves the wool. Its not itchy and can even be worn on warmer days (think 60s) such a great base layer for him as he prefers not to wear a coat even in cold winter weather.

I returned this because it was WAY too long (I ordered an L, my usual size). It was almost a mini-dress, though the fabric was nice and seemed of good quality. I just didn't need anything that long and prefer it shorter (but can't fit in an M).

What can you not like about this shirt. Feels great, warm, soft, quality shirt. I will buy again

Purchased this for an upcoming international travel, but of course I had to try it on before stowing it away. Well, it never got stowed away. It softly hugs your body and regulates temperature perfectly. Not to cool, not too warm.I have a 44" chest and ordered Large. Perfect.
