I took up the "couch to 5k" challenge during the first lockdown last summer. Around week 5 I developed an ankle/foot injury which put an abrupt stop to my running. I think it was a combination of issues - plantar fasciitis and a weakness in my achilles tendon. The discomfort lasted months and was worse first thing in the morning. So I stopped all exercise. In January this year (around the start of the current lockdown restrictions), I tentatively tried re-starting the "couch to 5k" challenge... by week 2 the familiar morning pains had started up again! So I put the running on pause and searched for an ankle support in the hope that this might help. I settled on this one after reading the reviews (I paid £7.99). I didn't want to throw too much more money at something that I wasn't sure would even solve the issue!So, it is easy to use and you have to experiment a bit on how tight you fasten it. I can comfortably wear it inside my usual trainers - but they are laced and I had to wear that trainer slightly less tightened. I'm not sure how well it would work if you don't have the option to adjust your trainer fastening (ie. slip ons).I have run regularly every week for the last 3 months and not had a single problem with my ankle as a result of wearing this support!The only issue I have with it, is that it is (as others have said) starting to come apart at the seam of the elastic already. That said, I would probably buy it again if the price was right. I am very grateful to have found something that enables me to carrying on running!

J'ai acheter ses support suite a une entorse de grade 2. La première semaine le simple poid des couvertures m'empêchait de dormir. Avec ce supports j'avais juste assez de support pour contrer le poid des couvertures donc retrouvé le sommeil. Je crois que mon temps de guérison a été accélérer avec ce support et ma permis de marcher presque normalement plus rapidement. Elle s'utilise comme du tape medical/de sport mais réutilisable et lavable. On peux ajuster la compression comme on le désire et ou on veux. Super produit mais comme c'est un élastique le support a ses limites (Comparer a du tape) .Elle est assez mince pour entrer dans des souliers et elle est confortable. Cheville faible ou blessures au cheville je recommande a tous, pour le prix surtout. Il y a une texture en silicone donc elle reste parfaitement en place sur la peau et ne glisse pas.

I sprained my achilles a couple of weeks ago and was having trouble walking, especially on a morning, immediately after waking up.The instructions are very easy to follow to get the correct fit and you can easily tighten or loosen according to how your foot is feeling.At first I could not wear this for longer than taking my dog out for a walk, as the compression would hurt my foot, but I have gotten used to it over the last week and now only take it off for bed.In just a week and a half I have been able to go from walking the dog a few hundred yards to being able to take her on a half decent walk (half an hour or so). Obviously my foot still hurts but the support allows me to get on with my life - I can walk for longer before it gets too uncomfortable.

I never write reviews, but I'm actually really surprised with this, I had real bad ligament damage one year in March with a skateboarding accident, went through over a year of physical therapy and it still really hurt, then you next year, same month as well..... I did my ligament again and barely had control over my foot, it felt like aDelay between my brain sending a signal and my ankle moving.. It was horrible, has been for years, but I've just recieved the brace this morning, put it on, and now my ankle feels better than ever! I don't feel a delay anymore and my pain is pretty much gone, thank you! 5 stars!

This product has been invaluable in helping me maintain my level of fitness during the current lockdown.
