Is this set too babyish for an 8 yr.old girl?

Probably but I'm an adult who STILL loves to play with PlayDoh...............it depends upon the little girl and her interests !

What plastic are the cones made of; pp, abs...?

There’s different types of plastic in the world? polypropylene-polyethylene-ABS and other engineering type of thermal plastics. What materials? you use for your plastic products. Thermal plastic is my specialty…you would say I am Yoda…when it comes to injection molding-blow molding,-extrusion-I am the king mold in the world.
