Its very easy to use and much faster I recommend using wrap paper instead of parchment paper..parchment kept ripping and the kibbeh doesn’t come out as smooth..so use wrapping paper.. When you adjust the kibbeh make it as balls and put it in each section then press it..this way it takes the shape faster. When u take it out close the edged with some water. I made 5 lb of kibbeh dough it made 50 pieces in this tool.

If you don’t use plastic wrap, you can’t get the kibbeh’s out of the mold, once pressed closed. As you can see, I also scored around the excess of the “balls”, to help release them. The edges don't stick together very well, so you need to still shape the kibbeh a bit and make sure they’re close well before cooking or freezing… however, it did move the process along faster… just wish it would seal better.

In short, yes! The first trial to make kibbeh with this device was a mess, but I was able to test and think of ways to get better results and succeeded, here is what you need to do 1- use plastic wrap or the dough will stick to the device. 2- put only six balls of dough to make three kibbeh pieces. Each two next to each other on on side of the device. 3- press the dough balls with the pressing part. 4- now the trick is to press the shaped dough, while in the device, with your fingers to make it thin, otherwise the kibbeh will be thick :( 5- fill in with stuffing one side of the shells. 6- use the plastic wrap to flip one side on the other (the top three kibbeh shells on the bottom shells with stuffing) 7- press hard using the other side of the device 8- remove the kibbeh pieces and make sure to seal the edges manually. Slightly wet your fingers with a mixer of water and some corn starch to fix the edges.

Maybe I was just using them wrong, but these were not convenient at all. By hand was easier in my opinion. It was messy, the dough would stick and rip, and when I would flip the mold they would not come out. I tried making the mold non stick with some oil, then I chilled my dough, but that still didn’t work for me. Maybe if I dusted it with a bit of flour it would have worked.
