Amazing kit to learn coding and robot operations
This kit comes with all the accessories, cables, parts and sensors (except the 18650 batteries) that you need to get it fully functional. The instructions are very detailed, and easy to follow to put together. Once assembled, you can program the micro-bit with the different examples to see it working, you can follow step by step the same programs to learn how it works, or you can create your custom programs to perform custom operations. Wiki has all the information that you need to follow up the different operations of the robot. Great system to learn how the sensors work, how the servos and motors can be actuated to move the robot around, etc. My kids had a blast putting it together, and they are learning programming with this robot car.Great product with good quality and I would highly recommend this to other people.

Pleasantly Surprised!
I usually tinker around with Arduino and other types of development boards, but this is my first time working with Microbit. I was not sure how well I would like the microbit, but this thing is amazing! It is smaller than a typical arduino board but it much more powerful and has more features built into the board (led matrix, buttons, bluetooth, etc.)! The only downside to using the microbit is that it is a specialized board that is not as universal as the Arduino's pin ports. However, you are able to run the microbit without any additional pieces. As for the robot car, this worked great and was a lot of fun! Similar to the Arduino robot car this car has many of the same functions. This one is unique in that it has special wheels so it can go side to side and diagnogally. I can control it with my phone via bluetooth or with the included remote. If you want to set it off on it's own, it can follow lines and avoid obstacles using the cars various sensors.I highly recommend this for any electronics tinkerer of any age!

What a nightmare
I thought this would be a fun addition to my son's BBC microbit but it has just been stressful and frustrating. First it doesn't have any instructions in the box, just a QR code that takes you to a page with lots of information about the microbit but also no instructions to make this car. After searching for a while I found a you tube video with instructions to make it but nothing for programming. Eventually, after about an hour searching I found the actual instruction manual which is 369 pages long and contains lots of irrelevant information. Some of the programs you can make without this and just a microbit like a flashing heart so I can't see the point of including this information not information on how to make the microbit work as there BBC microbit has the same information in a much easier to follow format. After all this stress to find the instructions I realise it doesn't take normal batteries and it takes specialist lithium rechargable batteries. I found a pack of these on Amazon with a charger for nearly £20 adding quite an additional expense to the product.Eventually my son decided to send it back as the instructions were just to complicated and confusing for him to do alone and I was also struggling to make sense of. I'm not sure if the age group this is aimed at, probably older teens or adults who already have some knowledge about this sort of thing, although I would have thought by this stage they would have outgrown the microbit. We replaced with a similar product from different company with much clearer instructions and which takes normal AA batteries

Could finish mounting it, wrong parts and bad quality control.
After the initial mounting where we were already facing minor issues with screws lenght/fitting we eventually couldn't proceed as one of the couplers (out of 4) to connect the mecanum wheels to the motors was of the wrong size. The the screws supposed to connect the wheels to the motors through the couplers were too thick to fit in the motor side holes.Pretty disappointing and a wast of time considering it's a pricey kit.

poor quality screws let the whole kit down
Stuck at home as I go through Cancer treatment. I was REALLY looking forward to building this model. Had to abandon it a STEP 2 because the poor-quality screws kept snapping. Specifically the M1.2 screws (x4) are just far too soft and when three of the required 4 snapped, I had no choice but to give up.
