This system is very to set up and very easy to program scheduled watering. Manually turning it on while away from home is also very easy. Equally important is the great support when you call for help. The staff is very knowledgeable, helpful, patient and very courteous. Tommy and Jane (?) were excellent. I am planning to buy a another one as a gift to a friend..

Setting it up was a breeze, thanks to the user-friendly app and straightforward instructions. Within minutes, I had my system connected to my Wi-Fi network and ready to go. The ability to control my watering schedule remotely from my phone is a game-changer, especially when I'm away from home or on vacation. But it's not just the convenience that impresses me – it's the performance. The system delivers just the right amount of water to each of my plants, ensuring they stay healthy and hydrated without any guesswork on my part. Do not buy this irrigation system. I repeat, do not buy this irrigation system. The RAINPOINT WiFi Automatic Watering System conceptually is a good idea. Unfortunately, there are so many problems with this product that it is inadvisable to purchase. First, the pump is very weak. I had the pump connected to 7 plants, one which required 4 drippers. Only the first two plants were watered. The plants downstream remained dry. Second, the system leaks. I used hot water to heat the ends of the hose during installation to insure tight connections. Nevertheless, water leaked between the hose and the dripper rather than from the dripper itself. The out port barb of the pump leaked as well. Because the hose barb is shielded in the pump housing, there is very little that can be done to resolve this issue. There are numerous reviews that mention the siphoning effect. That is, after the pump is turned off, water will continue to flow. In such instances flooding can occur. This problem is easily resolved using a one way inline valve (also known as a check valve). Before someone claims that the check valve impeded proper water flow through the system, the water flow problem existed before I installed the check valve. Connecting the pump to WiFi is straightforward and the app is straightforward as well after reading the information on the website. The manual is not very good with illustrative pictures too small to view necessary detail. It's really too bad that this device doesn't work, even marginally. The idea is great but I suspect the engineers who developed this system didn't test it extensively.

I looked at dozens of plant watering pumps and tools, this one does the job. For regular or vacation use, this auto-watering pump meets the needs. 5 minutes to set up, program, and in operation. I like the WIFI feature. The application is ok, very basic but functional. Time will tell regarding quality and life. It seems well made. You need your own USB power source. That’s a bit cheap. I suppose they figure people have these extras power supplies laying around from phones. Overall, I recommend this as it works and appears fair quality.

This my second Rainpoint product. I bought one for outdoor watering needs. I have a vegetable garden and bushes to water. I have successfully used their watering device for over six months without an issue. I do travel for an extended period of time and I do have several plants which need to be cared for indoors during winter months. Last few years I had to ask my neighbor to water them on a regular interval, but that was not working well as I had to depend on them to ensure watering at the right interval and right amount of water for plants to survive. As there are very unique plants and they have very specific needs for accurate watering round the year. Also I needed to manage watering remotely for which the wifi function of this system is very useful. When I saw this watering device I thought it might solve the problem. So I bought it on Amazon and it was delivered fast. The product came with everything I needed to get set up. It has a water pump, tube, connectors and very detailed instructions booklet with pictures. I was able to follow step by step instructions to set it up. I was able to calculate water usage by testing it. It dispenses little over 1 liter of water every 1 ½ minutes based on how much water I will need for the duration of my trip. My plants have different watering needs as I have one big pot which requires more water and I have small plants /pots which require less water. I used multiple drip spikes for bigger pots and used only one spike for smaller pots. I used black tubing I had left over from other project. this product comes with transparent tube. Also keep the bigger pot first in line with the watering tube so it gets more water force. Since I was going out for an extended period of time I wanted to test the system to ensure it worked reliably. In the attached video you can see it worked great. Overall easy set up and functionally great product!

I just received this unit and so far I am impressed. Connection to my wifi network was easy - you do need to have it on a 2.4Ghz network. The Rain Point app works well and is easy to navigate. I set it up so that the output from the Rain Point pump goes vertical for about 18" before running horizontally to my plants to avoid any potential siphoning. I mocked up all the lines with the drip emitters in place and measured the water output over 5 minutes. I found it took around 8 minutes to deliver 2l of water equally through 2 sets of emitters - 6 in total. I have 3 emitters in 2 plant pots so 1l per plant over 8 min. As long as the lines from the "t" fittings are equal length the pressure and flow rate should be equal from each emitter. I could see unequal flow from the emitters if you just had them t'ed off of a central line and in a row. So far I'm impressed with how everything works, the only issue I have is that getting the tubing onto the drip emitters is a bit tough. A good buy for sure!

Does not do what it promises to do. Waste of money.

Installed everything properly, still didn’t work. I put it in the trash.

Works as described, has helped me keep my plants alive will being away for a long weekend.

Malheureusement, mon wifi ne se rend pas sur mon balcon en raison des murs en béton. Dans la maison il fonctionne très bien et l'application a été très simple a installer. Mais dehors il perd toute son utilité s'il n'y a pas d'internet (wifi) il ne fonctionne pas.
