Beware of these test strips. I personally do not think they work. I used them many times and the strip never changes color no matter how many drinks I’ve had. The most drinks I have had and tested on was 3(1 beer, a cocktail, and a glass of wine) to which I surely had a buzz but wanted to test the strips out. I did not give my baby the milk even though the strip appeared to be okay. I put one strip directly into a beer and no color change. Ever since I bought these I’ve been unsure about them so I never gave my baby the milk I produced after a drink or few. So not only did I waste money on these strips, I also possibly wasted milk but I would rather be safe than sorry. I wish I would have looked more closely at the poor reviews. I just saw 4 stars and thought that was good enough. Get a better and more effective brand before possibly poisoning your poor baby.

These strips are a fast, easy, affordable way to have a little more peace of mind on the breastfeeding journey. My husband and I enjoy an occasional wine tasting, so I keep a few of these in the diaper bag -- they offer an easy way to "check in" and be sure everything is all right before pumping or nursing. Would recommend!

I used these 1.5 years ago when I was BF my son, and now I am using them again with my newborn. I think of anything it just gives me a peace of mind knowing that I can have a drink or 2 and still check my milk to make sure I’m not giving my baby alcohol infused breast milk. The strip will definitely change color if there is alcohol present.

I used these while breastfeeding. As far as I know they worked fine. I never had a test strip come out positive though, only negative. Sometimes it would come out negative even after I had a drink less than an hour before.

This is a lifesaver for a first time mommy like me that exclusively breastfeeds but also likes a glass of wine after work, mimosas during brunch with my sister or even a couple shots during date night with my fiancé. Listen mommies don’t feel bad about taking some you time. Of course don’t over indulge but if you do decide to have a taste here and there these strips are a must. ACCURACY is guaranteed. After using them for months I purposely tested my milk again the other day after having brunch and drinks with my sister just for reassurance and it detected the alcohol(pictured above). I did a pump & dump, consumed plenty of water waited a couple hours and tested again with no color change meaning my milk was good!

Doesn’t work I had more than one standard drink a couple hours later to see if they worked I tested and got two negatives which was definitely wrong as I still felt buzzed went back to the reviews and saw that others said the same so I tested the strip straight on alcohol and a little breast milk and it hardly changed at all for sure not safe I recommend just waiting a full 12-24hr after drinking to breastfeed again and just use your milk stash to feed your little one

I am a first time mom and breastfeeding. I wanted to enjoy a glass of wine on Valentine's day. I drank a glass of wine with dinner and then tested abut 2.5 hours later to see if it was ok to feed my son. All you need to do is express a small amount of breast milk onto the strip and wait as directed on the package. I was pretty sure it had cleared my system as I only had 4 oz of wine but this made me feel secure feeding my child. I'm sure it will come in handy further down the line if I am out at a wedding or dinner and have a few drinks. I probably won't use it again if I am only having 1 drink as I believe waiting 2.5 hours is sufficient enough to ensure the alcohol has cleared my system.
