I’ve been using Nudge nano hydroxyapatite toothpaste for a while now and overall I really like it. It leaves my teeth feeling very clean and smooth without that harsh, burning sensation you get from some stronger mint toothpastes. The formula feels gentle but still effective, especially if you deal with sensitivity or just want something more enamel-friendly. I also appreciate that it’s fluoride-free and SLS-free, and it doesn’t foam up too aggressively, which makes brushing feel a bit more natural. The flavor is mild and not overpowering, so it’s easy to use daily without getting tired of it. I wouldn’t say it gives dramatic “instant whitening,” but over time my teeth feel healthier and less sensitive. Overall, it’s a solid toothpaste that feels like it’s actually supporting enamel rather than just masking issues.

A promising, science-based fluoride alternative
I’ve been looking for a fluoride-free toothpaste that has more behind it than simply being marketed as “natural,” which is what led me to nano-hydroxyapatite (nHA). Hydroxyapatite is a mineral component of tooth enamel, and there is a growing body of scientific research suggesting that nHA toothpaste can help remineralize enamel and may be a viable alternative to fluoride. Nudge contains 10% nano-hydroxyapatite, which I particularly appreciate because they actually disclose the concentration rather than simply listing it as an ingredient. The toothpaste itself has a pleasant minty taste without being overpowering, and it leaves my mouth feeling clean. I also appreciate that Nudge has independently tested the product for heavy metals and actually publishes the lab report—something I consider especially important with mineral-based oral-care products. One thing worth knowing if you’re new to hydroxyapatite toothpaste: don’t immediately rinse your mouth thoroughly with water after brushing. I spit out the excess and allow the residual toothpaste to remain in contact with my teeth rather than washing it all away immediately. It’s too early for me to make grand claims about long-term results, but based on the formulation, transparency about what’s in it, published testing, and my experience using it so far, I’m impressed.

Great healthy toothpaste.
Looking for a toothpaste that didn’t have all the additives and researched the nano hydroxyapatite and found it could be very beneficial especially for sensitive teeth. My daughter recommended this brand and I really like it. It is not like a regular gel or paste but once you get used to the difference it’s great. Definition recommend if you’re looking for a safer toothpaste. Taste is great and my teeth feel really clean.

Teeth look good, but the science of nano hydroxyapatite I think is overblown
I’ve been using Nudge for about six weeks while waiting for a dentist appointment to fill a small cavity on my molar. If you’re here because social media told you this would "heal" a physical cavity, I have to be honest: it hasn't done that for me. However, for everything else? It’s been fantastic. The Pros Noticeable Enamel Repair: I suffer from thin enamel, and my teeth often look slightly transparent or "clearish" at the edges. Since using this, my enamel looks much more opaque and solid. Effective Whitening: My teeth look significantly whiter. It doesn't feel like a harsh bleach whitening, but more like the surface is smoother and reflecting light better. Great Taste & Breath: The flavor is excellent and it leaves my breath feeling genuinely fresh. Enamel-Friendly: It’s 10% Nano-Hydroxyapatite, which is the "gold standard" concentration for strengthening teeth without the harshness of some traditional pastes. The Cons The Cap Design: This is my biggest daily annoyance. It has a screw-on cap instead of a flip-top. It’s a small thing, but unscrewing and rescrewing it twice a day is a bit of a pain. I really wish they’d update the packaging. Cavity Myth-Busting: To be clear, it will help with "pre-cavities" (white spots/demineralization), but it won't fix a hole. My small molar cavity is still there. Final Verdict: If you want whiter teeth, better enamel density, and great breath, this is a 5-star product. I’m knocking off one star specifically for the inconvenient cap and the slightly overhyped claims about fixing existing cavities. Also if you have sensitive teeth and used a brand specifically for sensitive teeth that has flouride, this is a great alternative. My teeth are not sensitive at all.

Finally
Yyyeesssss, finally a natural toothpaste that actually tastes minty. I like my toothpaste to be minty and leave me with a little fresh after taste and all the natural and/or plastic free ones I have tried have been so blah. It's not burning mint or anything. Also, wow! I did a quick brush when it first arrived to try it and even a quick test made my teeth feel super smooth AND the lid is bamboo! So while there are some plastics- it's at least slightly less. They give back, make other plastic free/less products, recycleable, and have info on their website about when they make changes to products so you know what's real and why . This is pretty high price for toothpaste but they seem to have reputable 3rd party testing for heavy metals in their toothpaste plus everything else. This is my first NH toothpaste and hoping it helps with occasional sensitivity. Plus it looks really sleek. So far I'm really impressed with how it works.

Great flavor
Mint flavor is great - not overly sweet and not chalky. After brushing, my teeth have a polished feel. Much better than other non-fluoride brands that we used in the past. Customer service was great - we had a small issue with one of our orders. The customer service rep that we worked with was very helpful and promptly resolved the issue.

Great toothpaste
This is the 2nd brand I've tried for non flouride toothpaste. I must say it is a solid product. It's thick, not runny. It lathers when you brush. Very pleasant flavor too! I only need a pea size drop on my toothbrush! I'm impressed with this toothpaste. The only thing I am not thrilled about is the screw on cap. Otherwise it's definitely worth it! It arrived just like it was pictured. Will be purchasing this again!

while cheap at first, and not very forthcoming with why it added abrasives and nHA content?
while this was pleasantly with out significant abrasives, to cause sensitivity. they do not list the 10% nHA on the box at all, only on the site? why is that. i contacted the company of why they added the abrasiveness to the toothpaste, the new formulation for mild mint is very different from the old one, im guessing people were complaining against some of the old ingredients. CLS cocyl laurel sulfate is the same thing as SLS, and may cause chelitis, contact allergy around the lips. also thier sudden switch from usa to china, puts in more question, so cheaper ingredients for more price? the biggest question if they actually have 10% nHA, or they are saying that as a marketing gimmick, does it actually have it in the toothpaste and how much by weight of the toothpaste. thier sudden addition of extra abrasives compared to the old formula is a concern to , because people with sensitive teeth are trying to repair it with nHA and having whitening agents are counter to that. the effectiveness of nHA is very questionable, as i dint notice a difference in my molars which had been repaired by dentist from having tons of cavities. Is it the actual 10% nHA in the tube, what is the quality of the nHa anyways. It is known to cause allergies around the lips, causing angular chelitis and normal chelitis, which i have been battling due to winter as well for a couple months already, also can cause mouth sores too. anyone with sensitivity to allergies, like atopic dermatitis or other, avoid using this. i have used this for months, and i dint see significant different in places where i filled cavaities from the dentist, like being repaired? it may not even work on places where it had cavaities, only super small defects. it does cause perioral dermatitis and ANGULAR chelitis in some people, and its pretty hard to treat these 2 conditions, so be warned if you have senistive allergies.
