Flip Note Black

I'm a heavy notepad user but I've been using my note phone before, now that I downgraded to a regular phone I went back to using spring paper notepads. I wonder how I never knew this thing exist when this has been available here for almost a decade!Pros:-It's small, thin and is perfect for small bags.-It's a looot nicer in actual. The blue is my favorite.-Feels sturdy, doesn't feel like it'll easily bend.Cons:-Flip cover doesn't bend all the way to the back. It stays on the side.-Pen holder is too small for a regular pencil. I prefer using my pencils when sketching ideas, but I will have to bring it separately.-Doesn't close without the pen in place.-The pen isn't very easy to find. You'll have to order them straight from wellspring seller that doesn't offer free prime shipping.The pen writes nicely but one is almost dry and the other is completely dried out. They're probably stock in amazon warehouse for a long time.I still love this notepad though. They're sooo pretty that it outweighs the cons for me.

I've used this brand off and on for about a decade or more now. This is the first I've purchased in many years, and I must admit they have made one change that severely disrupts the product's like-ability.Before, the pen used to scratch its holder a little, so after a long period of use some of the color would get scratched off. Really not a big deal and I didn't care about that since the pen covered the damage when not in use. But apparently enough high-maintenance people complained so that they must have tweaked the design - now the pen doesn't clasp so tightly it scratches, but the flip side is that now the pen just drops right out of the pad if held upside down. Considering I use this to take notes at work as well as hiking in the woods, this is a huge problem. I lose the pen just pulling the pad out or returning it to my pocket. I once lost the pen for a day or two.If the situation I am encountering is a fluke that only happened to my particular pad, I would love to be corrected so I can continue getting these products. But for the time being my otherwise perfect score for this has been tainted by a rather problematic design flaw.

There is nothing really WRONG with the pen, as long as you don't have little weakling hands like mine that slip and feel uncomfortable when trying to twist the pen open / shut. I've replaced the pen with a Zebra Mini Ball Point Pen (T-3) (click instead of twist). The only problem with this is the T-3 is shorter and more narrow, so it doesn't fit as well as I would like, but it does fit in the pen space and keep the notebook closed-ish.The paper that comes with the Flip Note is not lined paper, but there are lined refills available for purchase.

It’s handy to have around. Well built and durable. I use it to leave notes for my family. I’d strongly recommend getting the refills while you’re at it. I don’t think I’d remember what this thing is called. Apparently it’s got a secret way of opening it. It won’t take you long to figure out. I got it right away because I wanted to play with the pen. Hint hint. I watched my wife and kids struggle with it, they were so annoyed when I showed them the easy way of opening it.

I wear work shirts that have 2 front pockets. This Flip Note fits perfectly inside the pockets! I carry this Flip Note with me everyday now and it's been so nice to have!There's been several times I've needed to trade phone numbers, or write down some quick notes where paper wasn't immediately available. It just feels great to pull this out and to know I have a paper and pen with me everywhere.I had a cheap knock off version of this Wellspring Flip Note years ago that I also loved...but the metal was very thin and flimsy and quickly got bent up and dented.This Wellspring however is made of very sturdy heavy duty metal. I've had no dents or bends in the metal yet and I've been carrying it for over a year now.It looks great, it feels great, and it works great!I've since bought several others to give as gifts. I love how these are available in such a wonderful array of colors and designs!I love my Wellspring Flip Note!=======UPDATE 01/26/2015=======I've now owned this Flip Note for over 2 years...and I carry it with me still just about everyday.I've found all sorts of uses for this little thing! Grocery lists, reminders, a place to write down quotes that I'd like to remember...heck I even got to whip it out in a criminal justice class final project I was a part of in college...where we had to investigate a crime scene. I needed to write down some measurements but didn't have a notebook on me. I whipped this out of my shirt pocket and really felt all 'official' and stuff! lol :PIt's still in fantastic shape too! None of the paint has chipped off, there's no scratches, and I've yet to get any dents in this thing. The metal truly is very sturdy!I'm so thrilled with the purchase of this flip note!!

I don’t know why the negative reviews. I have found this to be perfect. And no, you don’t have to use the same tiny pen. I have a mini gel pen that once clipped onto the side it keeps it closed just fine. (The front cover has a spring that opens it up when you take out the skinny pen). Perfect size for several places in my home and purse for tKing notes that hit you in the night, while reading or watching tv.

I bought the Wellspring Flip note with refills for myself after purchasing it for a friend for Christmas. She loved it because of its size and the pretty design on the cover. The note pad fits perfectly in my purse. I have tried many small notebooks in the past which didn't work - the paper ended up getting crinkled even though I tried protecting it by putting a rubber band around the notebook. You don't have to worry about this problem because the pretty metal case protects the paper and is designed to make it easy to take notes The attached retractable pen is an added bonus.

love the note pad use them all the time delivery costs more than the flip note??? surely this can be purchased in Britain to avoid the cost. use it all the time such a handy size for the pocket cant be without one now.

Not having a range of electronic memory aids this small and handy note pad, with pen, is an ideal 'in the pocket' gadget. No batteries required, no instructions to read, just use it! Very impressed with the quality and moderate costs. Have purchased one or two for friends.

Excellent little note pads. Very compact. I keep one by my bedside to remind me of "to-do's" for the next day.This is my second purchase as I give them to friends, like me, need to write things down.

This is the very definition of practicality. It has become a constant companion. I wish there was a supplier of the item in Western Australia.
