Sound is great but makes a bit of a popping noise from time to time. We are trying to determine if the problem is the microphone or some type of interference. Overall pleased!

Picks up speaker's voice well even in an outdoor environment ...
Picks up speaker's voice well even in an outdoor environment. I run it through my Behringer system and voices are clear and bright. I've used it indoors and outdoors and had the controller 50+ feet away with no loss of signal.

Akg CK 99L Review
Excellent mic, a little warmer than his predecessor ck55l, I am using this one with the sport series. This mic isn't a pro level, but do the work in conferences an interviews.

Worth the money.
Excellent choice for any AKG microphone pack. Picks up voice strong and clear. Not the cheapest mic, but dramatically outperforms cheaper alternatives.
