BEAUTIFUL CARDS
The 2-deck card set is fabulous. I play Bridge often and my friends were very impressed with the quality and beauty of the cards and their container.. They arrive in a light grained decorative storage box, with a felt lined interior and front latch. For the price, they would make a fantastic gift for a man or woman who plays adult card games. However, this set is for me!

Stickers on wood?
First off--I LOVE Theory11 playing cards. NO ONE makes better playing cards--full stop. I already have several of the Artisan decks, and I wanted to "improve" my collection with the special engraved box. Though I love the look of the box and detail of the engraving, the year/edition sticker that is used to secure the wooden box closed is not well thought-out. It looks great at first, but then once you peel off the sticker it never looks as good from then on... and no longer has a way to keep it closed securely. Plus, it leaves sticker residue on the wood! I will probably add a simple latch myself, but this is just poor design.

A great gift idea, and a great price on Amazon.com. The gift set is sold out on most websites. Singe decks are also available on Amazon.com.

THE BEST CARD SET, PERIOD
It is the best card set that is available anywhere. I was looking for a wooden card set as a gift. This is just perfect, it looks amazing and even better than the pics. I just got the artisan playing cards for myself and they are pure luxury. I got really nice comments from the person whom i had gifted the card set. Lovely present!!

Am I the only one who got screwed? No cards, just the box!
That's one very expensive box. I'll remove this when Amazon or Theory11 make it right. How does something like this happen? EDIT: STILL WAITING ALMOST A MONTH LATER. THEORY11 SUPPORT SAID THEY'D SEND THEM OUT BUT THEY HAVE NOT. GARBAGE. BOX IS CHEAP AND LOUSY ANYWAY. NOT WORTH THE PRICE. PLUS, STICKERS THAT LEAVE LOUSY RESIDUE ON THIS AND THEIR PLAYING CARDS.
