Good product - easy to swallow
Independent review from real retail customer. As a PT / group fitness instructor, I do a lot of exercise each week; also observing a keto diet with intermittent fasting. As such, if I don't cool down enough and stretch after my workout, I often get severe cramps in my lower limbs which keep me awake/wake me up at night.Since I've started taking these to supplement my electrolytes, this has stopped completely. So fit for purpose.Capsule format means you can just take it as a pill rather than a powder, so bad tastes are avoided. Nothing negative to report for the price point.

Really help with fasting
I do intermittent fasting and sometimes feel a bit jaded in the morning when working but taking these really perk me up and helps me to finish my fast more easily. I tried the powder but not keen on the taste so the capsules are perfect for me.

Perfect way to avoid the satchets of powder
If I feel poorly with a sickness bug the last thing I want to stomach is the taste of the powder satchets of electrolyte replacements (eg. Dioralyte). These tablets are a perfect alternative.

Convenient way to take electrolytes. 💊💊[180 Capsules]
Imagine being a Scottish chap & being told that you need a little more salt in your diet? usually its one of the things killing my fellow countrymen but I needed more of it. I've never been fond of the stuff, used to get told off for not salting my food as a child. When cooking for myself I rarely use it & i don't eat a lot of processed food so I'm not getting it there either. I first realised that it was important when I used to climb. You try & stay light by not drinking to much water. & if doing strenuous exercise; especially in hot climes you can quickly get dehydrated & get cramps. In later life I have to take diuretics & again restrict my fluid intake. This leads to a lot of cramps, especially at night. Waking up to really bad cramps in both of my calf muscles in the wee small hours of the morning isn't a good start to the day. So my doctor recommended that I start taking electrolytes. I used to take electrolyte drinks when I was heavily into climbing, mountain biking & cross country running. being honest the majority of them tasted awful. But as Shakespeare wrote in "All's Well That Ends Well" - “𝘔𝘺 𝘱𝘰𝘰𝘳 𝘣𝘰𝘥𝘺, 𝘮𝘢𝘥𝘢𝘮, 𝘳𝘦𝘲𝘶𝘪𝘳𝘦𝘴 𝘪𝘵: 𝘐 𝘢𝘮 𝘥𝘳𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘰𝘯 𝘣𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘩; 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥𝘴 𝘨𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘦𝘷𝘪𝘭 𝘥𝘳𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘴”. So I was quite excited to try these Electrolyte Capsules from Freak Athletics. If I can take in the required minerals without the awful taste of the drinks & also using up my restricted fluid intake on a beverage that I don't enjoy then they're winners in my book. Electrolytes are minerals found in your blood that help regulate and control the balance of fluids in the body. These minerals play a role in regulating blood pressure, muscle contraction and keep your system functioning properly. The security sealed bottle they arrive in is made of PET [𝘗𝘰𝘭𝘺𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘺𝘭𝘦𝘯𝘦 𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘱𝘩𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘦] plastic so is recyclable, 94% of UK councils will now collect PET plastic bottles either from your doorstep or from recycling centres. The bottle holds 180 capsules which at a recommended dose of 2 capsules per day should last you 3 months if taking everyday. [𝘛𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘵 𝘶𝘴𝘢𝘨𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘢𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘦𝘹𝘦𝘳𝘤𝘪𝘴𝘦 𝘥𝘢𝘺𝘴].The ingredients per 2 capsules are as follows: -💊Sodium chloride (39% sodium) 290.70ᵐᵍ💊Calcium Lactate (13% Calcium) 17.92ᵐᵍ💊Potassium Chloride (52% potassium) 232.38ᵐᵍ💊Magnesium Citrate (30% magnesium) 20.10ᵐᵍ💊The capsule is made from Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose [𝘏𝘺𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘰𝘴𝘦] I split my dosage by taking one capsule in the morning with breakfast & another before bed at supper. It seems to work for me that way as I'm keeping an even dose throughout the day. Certainly since I've started on them I've had no more cramps which means no more rude awakenings. I also don't mind taking them as they've no taste & are easy to swallow. Not just for recovery after exercise, I'm taking them to avoid cramps that come from my medications. They can also be taken to aid recovery after sickness & or diarrhoea. They'll seemingly help with a hangover too as a good part of that is due to lost salts I'm told. [𝘓𝘶𝘤𝘬𝘺 𝘮𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘴 𝘯𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘩𝘢𝘥 𝘰𝘯𝘦]. The current selling price of £9.99 for 180 capsules [5½ 𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘱𝘦𝘳 𝘤𝘢𝘱𝘴𝘶𝘭𝘦 𝘰𝘳 11 𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘱𝘦𝘳 𝘥𝘢𝘺/𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘪𝘯𝘨] seems very good to me. A lot of electrolyte drinks cost way more than that per serving & taste awful. It's also a much more convenient way to imbibe your electrolytes as well as being more compact for travel & easier to portion out than loose powders. so I'll be buying more of these when the run out.

Great capsule electrolytes
I usually put electrolytes in my drink bottle when doing strenuous exercise but was pleased to give these capsules a go. They contain the ingredients you'd expect for better performance and recovery and are made in the UK. Recommended dose is 2 capsules a day. The capsules are a good size but not huge so they are easy to swallow. Personally I have been taking these just before exercise and do feel performance has been better and recovery quicker. They work as well as the tablets in the water bottle but I prefer these and I don't always consume all my drink so at least this way I know I'm getting a good dose of everything I need. I only take them when I exercise so 4 days a week so these will ,ast for ages making them a cheaper alternative to soluble electrolytes too.
