If you're like me and buy watches with leather straps, a deployment clasp like this is a must if you want to preserve the strap and keep it looking like new for as long as possible. For the sake of a tenner I'm going to fit one to any new watch that has a leather strap from now on, it looks good and is ultra comfortable to wear and saves all that strain on a leather strap that you would get by tugging it on and pulling it off. Highly recommended, all new leather strap watches should have a butterfly deployment clasp from new, it's an investment to preserve your watch and keep it looking s good as the day you bought it.

The package arrived quickly and included the deployment clasp, four spring bars, a spring bar removal tool and clear fitting instructions.The clasp is highly polished, well made,and strong stainless steel ,protected by a removable clear plastic film.It took about 5 minutes to fit to the strap of my Seiko Velatura GMT which is 20mm wide at the clasp by approx 3mm thick.Once it was fitted and adjusted for length, the simple fold over clasp with two button release works a treat.This will increase the life of the strap as there are no undue stresses put on the leather.Looks good. Highly recommended, would use again.Update, just bought a second one of these in gold tone. As above ,great item. No complaints.

Absolute crap, 1 star because it does not even perform minimum function, constantly pops open during the day. Attached to a 2.5mm strap, within the stated range!Uselessness aside, its also very uncomfortable. All of the edges are sharp, and the part in contact with your skin is thin enough to be a bit of a pressure point.Much better finished options on the market.

Unfortunately one side of the clasp wouldn't lock close securely. As a result merely bending my wrist or jiggling the strap would work it free.Disappointed that the clasp didn't lock properly, as it looked fantastic in place and the general finishing of the product was good.

Easy to apply but the lock on the clasp is terrible quality randomly opens on its own. At first I thought maybe i didn't shut the clasp correctly but after the first time of it opening I made sure it was shut. After a few times of this happening I decided to remove the clasp back of the watch as I could not trust it.
