SIRUI 50mm T2.9 1.6X Full-Frame Anamorphic Lens Cinema Lens (E Mount)

Sirui has done an amazing job creating this budget-friendly anamorphic lens. The heavy metal build quality, creamy bokeh, and flares that hit just right and are not overdone make this lens a go-to in my kit. The consistent gearing across the range is super helpful as I am always able to leave my follow focus in place. To top it all off it's at a price point you can't beat. If you are looking for a great anamorphic lens at a great price, it is definitely worth a shot.

I was debating to either grab the smaller Saturn version for my FX3 or to go with this Venus version for a few bucks more. Man, I am happy with this lens. Compared it to my buddies Saturn version and the Saturn feels a tad bit sharper but more soap opera looking. This Venus version makes literally every, and I mean every, scene and thing I filmed, look like a dang movie. It's amazing.Shipping wise I wish Amazon would have at least padded the smaller box in the bigger box they send it in. Sirui on the other hand did a terrific job padding this bad boy. They even vacuum sealed this bad boy and it was super gratifying opening this package.The lens performance is astonishing, nice and smooth towards the edging, amazing low light performance and silky oval bokeh. Even in broad daylight the T stops allow to film in very bright conditions without killing the subjects details too much, of course a mat box with ND Filters will be better, but for what it does, its amazing.Focal Ring and T Ring are tight and smooth. I am running this on my RS3 with the lidar for follow focus and it's amazing how it keeps focus with the subject.All in all, I love that I bought this lens.Future Videos will be uploaded on my YT channel. This lens is well build.It’s in my view a price performance item.It’s not perfect,but for the price it’s worth it.

So glad they’ve decided to offer full frame lenses. Beautiful, sharp where it needs to be with all the best anamorphic characteristics

Surprisingly soft. I experienced a situation that was unlike normal sirui products; my image quality was muddy and soft. I run a Sony fx3, a9iii, and a7rv, so I was truly able to test its sharpness across multiple specialities. I look forward to using other sirui products, but this one was unfortunate.

This lens is absolutely perfect for its price.

Funciona como descrito. Hay q contar q es un lente manual. Es conveniente tener un monitor q descomprima la imagen para tener una visión similar a la q queda luego de la edición. Recomiendo usar la cámara con tripode o monopie pq el peso es significativo Implica más trabajo pero los resultados valen la pena.

I attempted to use this with a Sigma 24-70, and ended up scratching both my lens and this adapter. Sirui is currently working with me on the matter, thankfully. I am not able to rate how well this adapter performs, due to not being able to use it, but from what others have said, it seems like a great anamorphic solution. Just make sure it will fit before attempting to use it! The issue w the lens is the depth of the lens and adapter, they run together before making contact on the filter thread.
