Works exactly as advertised.
Got this for my Raspberry Pi 4b and it loaded up with no issues. Controllers connected right away and were easy to map but just be sure to have a hot key mapped to exit out of games. There is a huge selection of systems and games. It has all the essential games for each system. So far everything runs smoothly and I have had no major issues yet. From what I have seen, only the N64 games can be problematic. They run but can lag a little and the audio is off too but that is because of the Pi limitations. Other than that, the games look good. The video quality is great and looks just like I remember unlike those preloaded flash sticks. The autosave is a little iffy but so far is not a real problem. The audio breaks up on the occasion with the acade games after loading where you leave off. Overall, the value is great, it user friendly and takes minutes to setup.

Absolutely worth it!!!!!
This is a fantastic collection of games - the roms work great, very minimal issues and nothing that impedes the enjoyment of the enormous library of games - super excited to try the famicom games and so many arcade classics!! If you're into retro gaming, this is a great place to start your digital game hoard.

AVOID - Does not work as advertised
I have the RetroPie version of this for the Pi 3 and I will say that it works perfectly and has for a long time. This Batocera version for the Pi 5 unfortunately does NOT. I installed this on a Raspberry Pi 5 with 4GB of RAM. It boots OK and I was able to set up the controller pretty easily. I tried numerous games from various different emulators on the card. Many had no sound. Several had issues not recognizing the controller buttons. One game was playable for about 2 minutes then glitched into colorful static (although the music continued). Each time I tried that game over two days it did the same thing. Runs for two minutes, then kaleidoscope of static. The "bonus games" require you to give the company a lot of personal information. The request for "tech support" requires you to give the company a lot of personal information (why do they need a street address and phone number to answer an email?). Messages to the seller through Amazon go unanswered. The tech support site is just a wasteland with some useless FAQs and a ZenDesk bot that will promise to connect you to someone, but never will. I think the site has been abandoned. They make a big deal about their great tech support in the description of the product. DO NOT BELIEVE IT. I guess the quality of this company and their products has declined over the years. I can no longer recommend them.

Plug and play!
I recently got an emulator SD card for my Raspberry Pi 4b retro console, and it's been fantastic. It was easy to set up and came pre-loaded with a great selection of classic games. The card performs flawlessly, providing smooth gameplay without any lag. Navigating through the games is simple, and being able to save my progress directly on the card is incredibly convenient. The only critique I have is that there is not enough space allocated to download updates, which can be a bit limiting. Despite this, the SD card has truly enhanced my retro gaming experience, making it a must-have for any enthusiast. Highly recommend!

Plug and Play
Works as advertised. You get a micro-sd card preloaded with thousands of games and Batocera OS which turns your raspberry Pi4 into a retro games console. Pros - * For me it was plug and play with a simple controller configuration of up front (Xbox 1 controller) * Pretty straight forward interface with games organized by system * Animated game previews (helpful for games you don't know) * Favorites - essential for curating a list of the 50 or so game you want to access quickly * Pretty helpful website with videos for updating to newest version, or loading your own ROMS. Cons * Was not able to use on-line system update. I think this is because the filesystem has just enough room for the OS. Manual update was not too bad once I realized that is the path to take. Do not bother deleting ROMS as it will not help. Only delete them if you need to make room for other games you want to load. * Audio occasionally drops out. Updating to the latest version seems to help but does not eliminate this. A restart clears this up. ===================================================== Games - There are an overwhelming number. This card came with games for: Arcade / NES/Famicon/SNES (us/japan)/N64/GB/GBC/GBA/Sega Master System/Genesis/SG-1000/GameGear/Atari 2600/5200/7800. I believe it is preloaded with emulators for other systems as well. You will find a lot of your favorites but also some are missing. Maybe on one of the bigger cards? There are duplicates but they tend to be across systems and not in the same category. Not surprising since most consoles were driven by arcade ports. My favorite versions are sometime the console version. All in all I'm very satisfied with this purchase.

First card went bad after about 6 months. Second card was DOA.

The card uses the Batocera program. For 8 and 16 bit graphics not on a CRT television, it’s pretty good. No lag on the games. Runs great.

Absolutely blown away by this. Installed on my new pi 500+ and it worked first time. I have had so many disappointing experiences with retro consoles so I was very happy that this simply worked first time and loads of retro games already installed. Going now to tinker with add ons but this is a perfect start. Well worth the money. Thanks.
