Pyrex Bakeware Custard Cups, 10-Ounce, Set of 4

My family loves these little bowls. They are the perfect size for a snack. The quality is good and what you would expect from Pyrex

Nice thick glass with a neat pattern. I had some many years ago and was happy that the same bowls were still being made. They are strong and go through a dishwasher fine.

Although billed as a custard cup, I have not used these for custard. I had a dozen very similar pyrex bowls I bought a couple of decades ago. Over the years, various accidents reduced that collection to four. So, I decided to try to find replacements as I used these bowls frequently. I found these four. They are not identical to the old bowls but are quite similar. The glass is slightly thicker so perhaps they will be less subject to accidents. They work great for melting butter, for warming water to feed to my sourdough starter, for mis-en-place for cooking and baking, and for temporarily storing small amounts of leftovers (with a cover). I am very pleased with this addition to my kitchen equipment and recommend them.

These lightweight bowls are handy to have in the kitchen. They make great serving bowls for small salads, sides, and other dishes. We also use them to make individual cheese cakes for portion size control. The bowls make good storage bowls with a generous capacity. There are no lids for these bowls. These bowls retain heat quite well, and if you put something hot in them need to be held with a heat-resistant mitt or something like a pot holder. We have several of these little Pyrex bowls from the 1970s that my parents had, and they are tough. These newer bowls do not appear to be as tough as we have already broken one when it dropped onto the floor. The bowls from the '70s when dropped just roll around on the floor, not shatter like the newer one did.

This works as a soup dish. It can go from freezer to oven. Easy to clean. Dishwasher safe.

Great price for some little quality dog food and water bowls that can go in the dishwasher, and it's nice to have an extra set to switch out.
