For an immediate undertanding of how light is formed. This is a bit small for easy viewing by the novice and a larger version is out there somewhere and is a lot easier to use.

Works, focus point is a little small, have to pretty much put it on your eye but gets the job done
Crap images taken just holding it up to my phone, I will upload better images later when its mounted into equipment.

Works as advertised, compact, feels robust
I bought this spectroscope to assess the light quality of various light sources (LEDs, fluorescents, etc...) and it works great for this. The image is a touch dimmer than I'd like, but that's likely unavoidable in a unit this small. I otherwise find the spectrum shown through the eyepiece to be clear and sharp, and it works well.
