Can you see the keyboard back lights through the protector?

Lights with the keyboard protector on… I normally have a bright room to work in so I had not considered this as an issue. That being said I turned off all my lights in the office and hall way. You can see the letters and red/green keys pretty well. Number keys not so much - top row function keys not much at all. For my needs this is not much of an issue, I normally do not work in a space with others. Night time in a room where the wife is sleeping - I suspect this would not work well. But then I am not a “touch” typist.

Anyone else have issues with the cover deforming or popping up on certain heavily used areas? Mine is getting pretty bad that its pretty much lifting

Only had mine a month or so… no issues as of yet. Similar material to the old one I had from a different vendor. Had to change as the keyboard layout changed with the new Mac. That previous one I had since 2015. Letters got worn but still fit well. I suppose for $10 or so you could replace yearly and still come out a head from drink spills alone.
