Easy setup and install.
Using this IR repeater, I was able to hide my cable box behind the TV. I simply adhered the receptor (IR receiver) end to the underside of the TV, the other end (IR repeater output) adhered to the cable box where the IR sensor is located, and then plugged the third end into a USB port on back of TV for power. Although the cable box comes with a bluetooth remote, I need to use my universal IR remote to control TV, stereo and cable box. This simple IR repeater does the trick when you don't have line-of-sight to the target IR device.

Solved problem with weak remote control
I was a fan of Logitech Harmony but when they were discontinued and mine failed I had to get another. The RC I have now is good except its infrared signal is weak, and my audio system did not see the signals. This was a simple solution, face the receiving sensor towards my chair, hang the emitting sensor in front of my Yamaha receiver. Works great now.

Don't delay! Order today!
This thing works great! I have no idea who the company is, but I bought it anyway. I put the small end on my black TV stand facing up at the remote sensor on the bottom of the TV. I affixed it to the stand with some poster putty to hold it in place. The larger end I mounted to the top of the TV (see image). (Some folks complained about the lit LED, but frankly it's hardly noticeable on a 43" TV. That seemed to be the best location to make it work consistently.) Before I installed this device, I had to find the perfect spot to point the remote control because some genius engineer decided to put the TV's sensor on the bottom of the TV. That might work great if you hang the TV on the wall, but it's worthless on a TV stand (especially a black one). Now, I can point the remote literally in about any direction and it'll work. Best $7 I've spent in a while. Try it! You'll like it!

Look for a different one
Like others, I should have read more reviews first. The receiver will only work if you're 2'-4' away. Any further and it will blink but won't pick up the signal and relay it. Tested with both Google TV and Logitech Harmony remotes. And also like other reviews, I have to point out that it isn't really 10 ft long. I never got a solid red light like others only a faint red blink when a button is pressed, so maybe there different models or defective ones? Who knows.

Solved my remote issue
This IR remote extender works great for my TV. We used to have to hold our TV remote above our heads (when we were sitting on the couch) to be able to clear the the soundbar that partially blocks the IR sensor on the TV. I installed the IR receiver just below the top edge of the TV stand and mounted the IR extenders transmitter to the backside of the soundbar in front of the TV sensor. The TV had an unused USB port that now powers the IR extender perfectly. Some of the other reviews complain of the IR extenders visible red LED... I don't find the LED distracting because we still have LED's on some of our other TV's and I guess I am just used to them now. This is an easy 5-Stars for making my remote work like normal again!

Update: Didn't work for me. 1 to 4 star upgrade.
What can I say? Total fail for me. I left out laying around long enough and tried again. Make sure that the USB port on your receiver, display, or whatever is always powered. Mine appears to only be powered when selected as a source. A separate wall wart in the cabinet and it's all good. So much for thinking I know what I'm doing.

Works as intended
One thing I really like about this compared to one I had previously is that the red light on the receiver is not on all the time - which is really nice when lights are turned off. Other than that this works as intended and it relays the IR signal behind the doors in the cabinets. I had to drill a hole in the cabinet and cut and rejoin the wire behind the cabinet otherwise I'd have to drill really large hole for the USB to go through. With everything moving to usb-c, it would have been nice to have it usb-c powered instead of usb-a.

Cheap adhesive doesn’t hold
Overall, the device works as advertised. The adhesive to attach the transmitter over the IR sensor is poor quality and it fell off after 1 week. Easily fixed but still a quality stain that would cost very little to improve.
