Takaokaya USDA Organic Green Breeze All Natural Green Tea Powder - 300 Gram (Food Service Bulk Size Pack)

This is my favorite green tea powder. I usually buy the box of individual packets at the market, and did not know until recently that this large bulk pack existed. I consider the price to be reasonable, as this is quite a large bag of tea that will last a very long time.This tea is perfect for me. It is a bright green color which is exactly the way I like my tea. It mixes easily into hot or cold water. At times it does become a little murky at the bottom of the glass, but I give it a stir and it blends quite well. The flavor is just right for me. It has a hint of an earthy taste without being bitter. I typically use one half teaspoon with about 8-12 ounces of water for iced tea. If I want stronger tea, I add about one teaspoon of tea with a little less water.I highly recommend trying this tea.

Good flavor I make it hot. Only thing is, it didn’t have a long shelf life so I ended up throwing away some of it. If you are going to have it everyday and share with other people then I would say it’s worth the money. But if it’s only for you, double check the expiration date before you buy it .

I was on the search for some great Matcha at a good price and came across this brand. I found it in a local Asian supermarket for cheap and thought it too good to be true... It does taste pretty good but I found it strange that even though this is a Japanese company, it said nowhere on the box, individual bags, or even on their website, WHERE this tea powder is made. In fact, considering that the label says "takaokayaUSA", and "USDA Organic", one would cleverly be lead to believe that this tea is grown in the USA. After contacting the manufacturer, I was told the following: "Green Breeze is a product of China". Wow- a Japanese company importing Chinese grown tea via the USA, and absolutely no mention of this on the label. I lived in Japan for 3 years and can tell you that this would never fly in Japan! Also, how "organic" would you suppose Chinese grown tea to be? One only needs to do a quick Google search for "contaminated food from China" to get the idea... I'm sticking with Matcha from Japan!
