The unit goes from 0-100mA. The dial turned to setting 3 should be just under 20mA and the dial on the 4 will be just over 20mA Hope this helps.

Q: What are th dimensions of the unit?

The unit is 4" X 2.5" and 1" thick (excluding the belt clip that adds about 1/4" to the thickness. The belt clip is removable if you want to use it in a pocket. Hope that helps.

Q: where is this product made?

The literature says: "Manufactured for Clinical Health Services, Inc. Tampa, Fl. 33684". The only indication anywhere is a label on the carry case that says, "Made in China". Without tearing the unit apart to look for component sources, there are no clues where the actual assembly was done or where the components were sourced.

Q: Intensity jumps when turning the knobs, instead of being smooth like a volume control. Is this normal???

If you reduce the settings of the pulse width and pulse rate, it will make the intensity increase smoother. The device is made so the intensity increases slower from from 0 to 4, then the intensity increases slightly faster from 5 to 8. Everyone has different sensitivity to TENS stimulation, you might be more sensitive to it.
