Perfect for 40° F under the stars. Don't let its convenient packability fool you. It feels thicker than it looks. Once you're wrapped up in it the warmth and the weight speak for themselves. It's clearly well-made and softer than the sheep it came from, which shocked my girl a ton cuz she's so picky about fabrics and hates how even supposedly soft wool still ends up scratchy.The first impression upon opening was the opposite of my last blanket-by-mail. No weird odor, no shedding, neatly folded yet no weirdly "sticky" creases. After using it for a few months, it's retained its comfort, color, and stitching entirely. I can tell this is going to last me a long time - far longer than I paid for. It was 100% worth it, and I advise anyone who gets this blanket to get the carry strap as well.

I was looking for a large wool blanket just to have around because of the temperatures at night where I live. On one of these nights, I had it folded in half and wrapped around myself. Not once did I get up due to being cold or the blanket not fitting me. I'm not a small person either (5'10", 210lbs), and I fit very well by myself. I store this rolled up, so it has no issue fitting into small spaces.This would be a good mid-layer on your bed or over top of a sleeping bag to hold in a lot of heat without worrying about moisture. I say mid-layer due to this is wool, and it isn't the best feeling to be right up against your skin.Very well made and no issues yet.

Love this blanked, it has been a lifesaver on our camping trips. It's warm (even when wet, wool is an awesome material) and large and just overall great value. Like most wool blankets it is a bit scratchy but that gets better with time and in collects debris (dry leaves and dog hair) like a magnet. But as said, that's to be expected of a wool blanket

I am very impressed with this blanket. After I received the first one I bought a second one. I was basically looking for some wool blankets to use with my camping sleep system - and found this. They're very economical, are nice looking and will work perfectly for what I need. They're also made in the USA! Excellent.

Short version, my insulation is basically nonexistent so I figured another blanket wouldn’t hurt. Price was good, but it’s a little rough. Didn’t realize it was wool until after the fact, so that’s on me. It’s now my dogs blanket and she loves it. Gotta find the silver lining where you can.

Excellent quality. Excellent price. Excellent blanket! Nicely taped / sewn edges. No excessive odor (all natural wool has some odor just by its nature). Blanket is heavy and it keeps you warm. These also keep out wind so they work as a stadium blanket, and they're water resistant too. I mean, wow, what else can you say? And for the price? The price for this kind of quality is rare these days, so it is very welcome. I liked the first one we bought so much that I bought (6) more of them. We put a couple in the living room for TV watching in front of the fireplace, we put one in every vehicle for emergencies, and put the rest in the bedrooms for extra warmth on those cold winter nights. Do I recommend? You bet, I strongly recommend these. Buy 'em while you still can at this price.

I ordered this without reading the comments until after it shipped. Once it shipped, I came back and read the comments and saw how people were complaining that it was stinky and poor quality. I was dreading when it would get here. I pulled it out of the package, and there was no stinkiness. It smelled as if I had just gone to the store and picked it up myself. I was so happy with it that I bought another one. And then another one… And another… I bought this seven times now. I plan on buying at least dozen more of these. The price is a little high but with the economy right now, it’s understandable. I have already used two of them in crafts. I am incredibly happy with this and plan on buying more as I said. With regard to the shedding when it is washed. That happens with wool. You have to wash it very gently. Honestly, any knitter would know that you wash it by hand. There will be shedding in your machine. Do not throw this in the dryer. Hang it up someplace to dry. But since it is wool, and if you use it as a blanket, you should not need to wash it very often at all. I would absolutely recommend this and I plan on buying another one once a month for the next year. My only issue is that they ran out of stock for the royal blue. While I understand that might not be the most popular color and I bought half a dozen of them already, I would like to buy another dozen in the royal blue. I’m having to wait until they come back into stock a couple at a time. That is literally my only complaint. I am very happy with this and I would absolutely recommend them.

EDIT: I hung this up outside on my deck for around 4 hours this morning. Sunny an clear day. This seems to have taking care of the more chemical like smell. Now it smells like a normal wool blanket. I upped to 5 stars since this was not really difficult nor did it take long to get it smelling like normal wool. Definitely love the blanket. Might get a second and use one in the summer and two in the winter.Got this delivered today and the first thing I noticed before even removing it from the packaging was the weight. It feels pretty heavy which I personally like. I opened it up and spread it on the bed. Upon first removing it from the packaging I didn’t really notice the chemical smell but after spreading it on the bed and laying under it for 30 minutes or so you really start to notice it. It’s not terrible but it does get a little strong. The weight of the blanket continued as well. It’s thin but it’s got some heft to it. Definitely heavier than you’d expect. And it’s warm. I really like wool for its warmth and this blanket doesn’t disappoint. It would be 5 stars without the scent.
