MINELABMulti Purpose Hard Plastic Digging Tool with Ruler

Good hand digging tool, hasn't broken

Bought this tool because minelab is a reputable company and i assumed this would work well for its intended purpose. However, this thing is designed completely wrong for use in metal detecting. It has virtually no cutting ability in average soil and the plastic tip turned very dull after only a few times used. After only a half dozen holes dug with this tool my wrist was already sore from trying to work it with enough effort to cut plugs only a few inches deep(and i've been metal detecting for 25 years now) This tool would be more suitable to scoop coffee beans and flour than actual dirt. Am disappointed that a company like minelab would design and market a tool so poorly designed for use in metal detecting. I would gladly return it if the plastic wasn't scratched up and dirt stained already. I'm sure its very durable, but, your wrist will probably wear out before the tool ever will. Very disappointed and have already permanently discontinued use of this tool
