microtivity IL441 5mm Clear Blue LED w/Resistors (Pack of 100)

Great for those 4x4 LED Cube projects you see on the 'net, get your soldering iron out! I tested them all, 1 bad out of the entire bunch - I can live with that ;)

OK but too bright without a film to reduce to increas the contrast

I used these lights to decal my Playstation console and controllers as well as lights in my vehicle. They work great!

I am running these at 3.6v through the included 200ohm resistor = 18mA, which is less than the rated 20mA, yet they are still amazingly bright. Just one bounced off a white ceiling is enough to illuminate a 20'x20' room sufficiently to navigate obstacles with no other lighting. They have a fairly narrow beam that casts a bright central spot. They might be cool for backlighting trophies or collectibles with white spots in front.If you have to run them off 9v you can use 2 resistors in series followed by 1 or 2 LEDs in series. 12v will power 1-3 LEDs through three resistors.

Resistors are not big enough for auto use as voltage fluctuates between 12 and 15 volts. leds burn out

Bulbs burned out very quickly and the company took great care of us on the return

Nice, bright LED's. Bought them for my son's school project. Worked great with CR2023 batteries (no resistors needed). No duds, well packed, very happy.
