This comment is about the tires and Amazon's great customer service.
I bought two tires and they are exactly the same but markings on the outside of the tires are completely different. The markings are totally different. One has MAXXIS in large yellow lettering (which I think looks really cool) and LUST in small white lettering. The other tire has MAXXIS in medium sized white lettering and LUST in large red lettering. They'd work just fine but as OCD as I am I know it will bug me to no end that the tires don't look the same so I contacted Amazon to get them replaced. Amazon shipped me two replacements with express shipping to make it right. The replacements arrive tomorrow whereupon I'll ship back the two that I don't want. I'm sure that two of them will match...Of the first two that I received, I installed one before realizing that the tires are not the same. They fit perfectly on my Mavic UST wheels. The beads popped right into place and the tires look great. The new 26X2.25 CrossMarks are replacing an old pair of Kenda Kharisma 26X2.10 tires. I'm very pleased with the larger size and am very excited to go for a ride. I think the tread will be perfect for my half road and half trail riding style.

Extremely fast tire
I've been riding these front and rear for about a year and a half. If you're looking for an exceptionally fast, easy rolling tire, this is it. It really excels on hardpack trails. I find I can run a gear or two higher (and much faster) with the same amount of effort compared to the knobbier tires I previously ran. With the low knobs, it's not a great tire in slick/muddy conditions, though it's a better in that regard than I expected. I run the tubeless version, which allows lower air pressure which is a benefit in climbing and slick conditions when the tire would otherwise be compromised because of the very short knobs. After hundreds of miles on them, I've never had a flat, but I do put Stan's sealant in them (contrary to the mfr's recommendation, which voids any warranty). They do slip a little sometimes when cornering fast, but to me it seems that the slip is predictable, without a sudden wash-out. I think they're a great cross country tire overall, as long as you don't ride a lot in slick conditions.

Good all around tire
I bought these after I had a pinch flat on my front tire. I ride to work in the summer and mountain bike in my free time every now and then so I wanted a tire that would do good on both and not worry to much about tread wear. This have held up really well so far with issues of flats at all.

Versatile Hardpack Tire
I've runs several of these on my Cannondale Rush 3 which came stock with the CrossMark. The tire is fast and as another reviewer points out, loses grip when cornering, but the break is gradual, allowing you to unweight before the washout. I replaced the rear with a Maxxis Ignitor UST to get better climbing traction in loose conditions, but stayed with the CrossMark in the front. Overall, the CrossMark is a relatively tough, easy rolling tire and responds well to using Stans tire sealant.

MTB tire for adventure racing
Purchased this tire for a second bike since I use it on my other bike. I ride a Trek Top Fuel WSD and it is a good replacement for the very thin tire that came with the bike, which was fast but didn't have much for grip and flats happened too often. Tubeless is a must if you are going to be racing offroad I think and this tire is easy to put on and holds up well when you use sealant to avoid flats. This tread pattern roles fast and has good grip on corners since we mix gravel roads in with single track you need both and this works great for that.

Cross Mark: Road/Trail
The CrossMark came stock with my 07' Cannondale. Since then, I have played with other treads and tires, only wasting time and money. The CrossMark is the only tire that I found suitable for trail and road. There are portions of my riding that extend on ashpault and the beaded cross-hairs make for a fast and smooth ride, yet ready to be used when I hit the dirt.If the CrossMark is not aggressive enough for your riding, check out Maxxis Ranchero tires. They still have a center-bead but more rugged for the trail.

Great tire but minor tubeless issue
I love these tires and have used them before but I couldn't get one of them to hold air this time without using Stan's sealant, which voids the Maxxis warranty. Not sure if there was a minor defect in that tire or what. Even my LBS couldn't get it to work. Put some Stan's in and that did the trick right away.

Fits a UST rim.
Wanted the 2.25" for my UST 29" rims. This is "tubeliss ready", not UST. But mounted up fine and with required Stans NoTubes Sealant, seems to be holding air just fine. Good fast XC tires!

Maxxis Crossmark
I got a pair of these for a really cheap price and have been using them tubeless on the bike I ride to work on. No punctures so far after 8 months of light use (2 15 min rides most days on various surfaces). I don't think I'd use these tyres for full off-road rides as the area I'm in is always muddy and wet, but they're good for gravel and cycle paths and roll well on the road.

Crossmark 2.10 UST

Good, better, maxxis
Super Reifen.
