Ordered this to use as a step stool, but also because it is the right height to use as a stool to sit on at my kitchen island. It is very sturdy and I feel secure even when standing on the top step. The steps fold away cleanly and easily and the handle slot makes it easy to carry. It weighs 12 lbs. It is also pretty comfortable to sit on. Not as comfortable as the padded stools, but really good in a pinch. I did put some felt feet on the bottom to make sure it would not scratch my wood floor. I wouldn't say it was easy to put together, but the instructions were very clear.

UPDATE - WORKS PERFECTLY FOR MY INTENDED USE!! It looks great in our camper and I am able to reach the ceiling with no issue. My husband was able to use it when checking the ceiling vents also. When my mom came to visit, she asked if it came with the camper because it matches so well! I do have it in a different location than I originally intended (at the opposite side of the kitchen island) but it fits perfectly, is out of the way of foot traffic but easily accessible for where we need it.-----------------------------------------I purchased this as a step stool/bar stool for our camper. I wanted something that was lightweight but would be able to support a heavier person. Our new 5th wheel has cupboards that are up to the ceiling and I wanted to get something that I could leave in the kitchen but that wasn't clunky and difficult to store. Yes, this will be sitting out, so I wanted something that would look nice but not take up a lot of space. A traditional folding step ladder would be difficult to store in an easy to access location in the camper, so I am hoping this will be able to meet the needs!I like that the steps fold up. When flipped down, they are sturdy and secure. A taller person could easily sit on this as a tall bar stool without using the steps flipped down. The kids would be able to use the steps flipped down as a foot rest once they climb up to the island to sit. It was fairly easy to assemble. It took about 20 minutes using the tool provided and a Phillips head screwdriver. All of the pieces fit together pretty tightly. I am hopeful that this will hold up against my children.

April 21, 2021Just brought it in and opened the box. Haven't taken it out yet, but it looks beautiful, color seems to match photo, it is glossy, too. Well packed with styrofoam, haven't checked for defects but I had to comment right away because it arrived so quickly! Less than 9 days, it had an estimate of 16 days, but was delivered so soon!I have read the reviews and noticed a few people talk about assembly, a few complaints in there, but some kind people attempt to help with assembly. I am grateful I can reference those comments and will update as soon as I have new information. Unfortunately at this point, I can only give a fair mid rating of 3 until I have more information. The pictures of product in box are for this commentary, very well packed and pieces arrived in great condition. As I mentioned, it arrived in 9 days.May 13, 2021 Update:Much easier assembly than others have claimed, one person commented about one of the later steps of assembly with the dowel, it seemed easier to do that step before fully assembled. So we put the stool and the steps together separately before the dowel and steps together with stool. It seemed easier this way.My BIGGEST complaint is the directions are NOT descriptive, just pictures as someone else commented and posted in his/her pictures.Standing and stepping on the steps and sitting on the stool feels sturdy, I will not attempt to stand on top of stool, but can say it is sturdy for me to sit on and I am a 2x sized gal. Very attractive step stool, and very attractive sitting stool as well. It is a few inches shy of counter height. I am 5'7" and it's almost at my hip. The steps fold neatly and flush under the stool. I have multiple sclerosis which caused me to have vertigo which acts up every so often and for me to say I feel very safe stepping on the first step and relatively safe of the second step, says a lot for the sturdiness. Assembled product is easy to carry from room to room and steps stay folded under. I'm sure if you were to swing your arm at a fast swing the steps theoretically *might* come out, but hasn't for me. I've had it for few weeks now and can say I am Very Happy with this product! Updating rating to 4 star.What I feel is most fair is a 4 star rating because I give that when I am very happy with a product and only give more if company goes above and beyond what is expected and this IS EXACTLY what I Wanted and Expected! This is what I feel is the most fair rating. Besides, the directions are not descriptive enough and I do understand why others had issues with assembly.I am including additional pictures of the assembled product. I hope others find this review helpful :-D

A bit annoying to assemble. I glued pieces of carpet to steps so my old kitty can get to the top of the kitchen counter. Makes it easier for her to get to food and water, keeps me from having to get on the floor to fill dishes.

So I've waited for this to arrive a good number of days and when it does it has WRONG parts. They have sent me 1 (one) "E" piece and 2 (two) "H" pieces. In case you don't realize that should be the exact opposite as quantities go. As for the rest of it I cannot say yet if it is sturdy or or not.... but I will update if and when the seller contacts me back and the issue is resolved.Update: I went ahead and fashioned my own replacement part instead of waiting for the seller to reply (still haven't heard anything. As for the review of the actual stepladder:-Directions are terrible-It's not all that sturdy and I'm guessing it will not last long here.-It's a little slippery so be sure to wear shoes (not just socks).-Overall I would recommend you look for another unless you are under 100lbs and okaywith getting wrong parts in the package. It is a neat little thing in concept..... wish it was better quality.

Great stool! Assembled easily. Very sturdy. Steps pull out easily. Did add a ribbon on the step/ladder to identify the correct side for easy pullout. Using it in our kitchen and it’s perfect for us.
