Level Up
I purchased the SE electronics V7 dynamic microphone looking to step up from budget dynamic mics. For comparison, I own a Behringer 85A and two Pyle PDMic58 (marketed as SM58 clones) which I sometimes pair up for stereo recording. Both these are budget mics retailing for under $25. The PDmic58 has good sound quality, excellent feedback and noise rejection at 600 ohm and a cardioid pattern, but drops off in frequency response above 10,000 Hz and needs generous EQ to sound good (demands careful but minimal procressing) while the BA 85A with a supercardioid pattern offers even better isolation, more punchiness and a better lift in the mid to high range, kind of like a Shure 58A, but sounds gritty and grainy after processing. Basically it sacrifices quality frequency response on the high end for sheer gain and lacks some the low end … magic … to lift the warmth from my bass voice. I chalk this grainy sound up to the fact that it probably uses cheap parts for circuitry and because it has a low 300 ohm resistance (low for a budget mic) to muscle the sibilance past that. I thought about buying the ubiquitous Shure SM58, but then I did some consumer research and decided that wasn’t the profile I was looking for on the low to midrange. I considered getting the Beyerdynamic M88 at first, but I found this equally suitable and slightly less boomy microphone at one fifth of the price of the German mic. The SE V7 has virtually the same frequency response as the B88 (20-20k) at 40 Hz - 19,000 Hz. Sound quality is better than all my budget mics on the low end, and it delivers a very even profile, allowing EQ and processing to be as minimally invasive or as creative as I need it to be. It’s now a fixture in my studio, and it looks nice too!

Amazing Microphone
Absolutely amazing microphone. I'm a singer and a drummer and this microphone does great projecting my voice without a lot of cymbal bleed. Plus it's red and looks dope!

Blown away by the quality-to-price factor
I am a die-hard Shure Beta 58a and SM58 devotee, along with their 57 counterparts. When I heard buzz in Shure forums actually praising something non-Shure, it got my attention. Now that I've had this mic for a few months, I can see why. The sound is brighter than an SM58 with the Beta-style mid-presence boost. There's no noticeable over-boosted proximity effect lows, so you can get right on top of this thing and it'll reward you for it. So this feels a lot like Bets 58a results for an SM58 price. The only unknown is durability. You have to do something egregiously stupid to destroy an SM58, and they last like that over many many decades. Whether the V7 is so durable remains to be seen. For now, I consider this mic to be a performance bargain. It has a permanent place in the practice studio and will see some recording duty shortly.

Better than Beta 58s!
Bought an SE V7 a few years back for a project then sold it after it was done. Had to do a remix of that project recently and started regretting selling it so I bought another one. These mics are solid! Been loving them more than my beta 58s lately. Can't speak to the longevity of this mic, but at least in the live performance videos we do here these mics are becoming the go-to's! And can't beat the price of these things either!

Glad I made the switch to a different mic
This product came in its own little bag which is convenient for keeping it from getting all dusty. I got the one that has the red phone behind the top so that it looks kind of like a black and red mic. it's pretty cool. I believe that it makes my voice quality sound clearer and the closer I am to the mic the more it brings out different effects in the PA and in my voice. The only downside to it was that it has a really strong chemical smell so once you get it I would suggest just leaving it out to air out for a while otherwise when you use it it's just for me it was just a constant smell that was distracting.

Could be better
I received the microphone, but sometimes I think that voice isn't clear and not loud enough. if i set voice on high volume, it doesn't have clear sound.

Punches above it's weight
I am very happy with this mic. It performs like a much higher priced mic. I have used it with a karaoke rig, and a solo acoustic / vocal rig. I would not hesitate to buy more.

Great All-rounder!
This mic has a neutral-sound signature, and I love it! My vocals don't sound too bright nor does it sound too dark. Recordings using this mic are crystal clear without sounding piercing to one's ears nor does it sound muffled. As a reference, I am using the Focusrite Scarlett Solo Gen 3 audio interface with this. When talking with my teammates in gaming they say that I sound clearer than when I used the Blue Yeti. That is not to say that Blue Yeti is terrible, as that is a condenser mic that has 4 polar patterns, however, the sound quality and noise rejection are way better on this mic, making it suitable for my room as it is untreated. If you're looking for a great dynamic microphone, but your room is untreated like mine, this is a good choice. Its neutral sound, crystal clear quality and noise rejection (high gain before feedback) is impressive for a microphone at this price and you will not be disappointed. Many claim this to be better than the SM58. From my research, I do agree with that claim, however, this does not yet have a good track record in terms of durability compared to SM58, as this is still a new microphone. That is not to say that the build quality is terrible; the all-metal body and heft to it feels solid! Fun fact: Singers such as Billie Eilish and Justin Timberlake use this microphone. They're rich and could easily use more expensive microphones on stage, but decide to use this. That says a lot about this microphone!

Amazon Microphone for Voiceover
One of the best microphones out there for voiceovers without a studio. I've tried Yeti, NT2 and NT2A, but my environment is too noisy so they pick up a lot of background, and a lot of mouth noises. For a non-studio environment, this mic has near-studio quality, rejects a ton of background noise, and also reduces mouth clicks.
