ANVktle10g Brew Kettle, 10 gal

Shipping was quick. The kettle was wrapped in bubble wrap in a box, in another box and arrived error free. No dents, scratches or problems. Compared to my starter kettle, this one is a beast! I love it!. I washed it and the ball valve it came with along with the thermometer. Tested the thermometer in boiling water and it was spot on. Installation was a breeze and there were no leaks! Brewed a batch of Irish Red without issue from this kettle.

Pros: It's beautiful. A work of art. Also very sturdy and well-made. I recently used it for a 5-gal batch of homebrew (boil-in-a-bag method). The size of the kettle was absolutely perfect for this method--I could use sufficient strike water without risking overflow. The thermometer made it easy to monitor water temp, and the valve made it by super easy to transfer the cooled wort from kettle to fermenter. In short, this kettle is everything I hoped it would be and more.Minor Cons: The instructions for assembly (i.e., installing the thermometer and drain valve) were not terribly clear to me. I was satisfied with Anvil's answers to my email request for assistance, although there was a bit of a lag. (Note to mechanically challenge people such as myself: THE O-RINGS GO ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE KETTLE.)

Not a bad product, no leaks holds heat good. but thermometer that comes with it isn't even close. Was at 120° on the pot after 30 min of heating, was going for 160° Decised to take lid off to double check temp and burnt my hand on the lid. Turns out it was boiling. Had 6 gallons for water in the pot at that current time. Only bought this product for that one feature. .

My Kettle arrived today... oh so excited!! Quality packaging and no issues with shipping. Quality of the kettle exceeds my expectations... instructions for assembly could not have been easier! 2 hour leak test not one drip... thermometer test with tap h2o - 100% accuracy compared to digital thermometer. Will update ONLY if there is an issues at brew temps. Anvil exceeded my expectations... so far so good!!! Will update my review after my first brew day.

Built with quality and not a leak in sight. I've brewed 3 batches with this kettle so far and it's the best brew equipment purchase I've made yet. I do 5 gallon full boil batches and gone are the days of worrying about any boil over. This is quality at a price the consumer can stomach.

Awesome kettle. I went on anvil brewing website and ordered a false bottom. I had to Give them a call, they actually answer the phone and all your questions. Lot’s of accessories for their kettles and your Homebrewing needs.

Works as advertised despite my rookie mistake of almost melting the thermometer by setting it on top of brand new large bayou classic banjo burner(going full blast) that had not yet had the paint burned off. But the thermometer still works.

When my package arrived it had clearly been opened before, there was a cut across the top through the cardboard and retaped together. There is also a wobble (not sure how to describe, kinda a scrunch) in the top edge on the back section about 1 inch in length, the rest of the edge is smooth. You must be careful to note that the measurement markings do not go to the bottom of the kettle! And although in the picture the lid is resting on the handle I would not recommend this as the angle of the handle barely holds the lid and could very easily be knocked off. I don’t tend to write bad reviews but I was expecting more from this kettle especially for the price.
