Good value for an extra tool when you need it
Since I have a small workshop in my basement and also a workbench in my garage, sometimes I need to go back and forth when I need tools. I bought an extra awl so I don't have to go searching for one when I need it. Strong metal, high quality plastic and sharp for all sorts of uses. Great size, fits in your hand nicely and it's easy to use. A good value for about five bucks and worth it to save me a trip back and forth to the garage.

Quality tool from Craftsmen!
I just used it this morning, to start pilot holes in plant pots; plastic & ceramic. I needed to drill holes in the pots, for drainage...as they didn't have drainage holes. It performed perfectly...& is still nice and sharp. It's Craftsmen...& I've been using their tools for decades now...can't really go wrong with Craftsmen. Definitely high quality.

Great quality. I like how it feels in the hand and is sharp so I dont recommend putting it in your pocket though.

This is a good awl. It will NOT last too long under heavy stress but it’s only $5.00 which is a fair price for a good product.

Use it to install a shed. Save me lot of hassle and was very useful. I love the quality of the tool and still is like brand new condition.

Solid, well made awl. I'm sure I'll have this for many years to come. The only con I can see is that the handle is quite short which makes it a bit uncomfortable to handle for hours. Maybe a T-shaped handle would help? Still, that might not be a problem for others but since I noticed this despite having very small hands (size 5 gloves), I think it's worth mentioning. I didn't use it with work gloves though.
