Nice tools to make things easy to connect or disconnect. For the price and added convenience why do without?

This product is a pair of metal specialty wrenches for working MC4 connectors. I bought it primary to disconnect MC4's. The wrench with the two straight legs does that with ease on my EcoFlow solar panel MC4's. The wrench legs have two "levels" on them... the first level lines up the tool in the MC4 grooves, and the second level compresses the two little tabs allowing the connectors to be pulled apart. Work the tool a bit to fully insert it against the connectors, and then pull them loose. You just can't beat metal for ease of use and durability as opposed to plastic versions.

Impressed with quality but does not fit BeideLt MC4

The two straight prongs work. Whoever designed the connector deserves ridicule. It’s insane I was unable to disconnect the connectors without this tool. With my fingers, with my knife, nothing. I didn’t know I needed this tool till I tried disconnecting the connector. The metal is sturdy. It works. If you need help disconnecting this is beneficial to have.

Not as I had hoped for. Other reviews state that the tools are metal. The tools I received are plastic and do not even fit the connectors that came in the box (round tooth side). I was also shorted one female connector. I give it two stars because the connectors that I did receive do work and fit snugly together. As for being water tight, I do not know yet. they do have the gaskets and o-rings. Would I buy this again? No Would I recommend this product to others? No Update 7/4/17 ( Happy July 4th ) I now see that the tools are supposed to be plastic in the 8 pair MC4 connector with spanners Kit.. (My bad). The tools you can order by themselves are the metal ones. The company is making it right for the missing connector. Therefore I have updated the stars from 2 to 5 sense it was my mistake on the tools and sense the company's customer service was so fast and kind in replacing the missing connector. So now would I buy this again? Yes And would I recommend this product to others? Yes

The larger square open-ended tool works OK for releasing MC4 connectors. However, it is useless for releasing H4 Amphenol connectors which require a considerably narrower ended tool. The smaller square ended tool is about the right width for releasing H4 connectors. However, it is incompatible with H4 connectors with tabs covering the connector locations. Thus, these tools are only marginally useful.

You can very carefully bend the forks to accommodate troublesome connectors that annoyingly seem to be slightly undersized. I have some Hyundai panels whose MC4 connectors do not work with regular tools. The tapered fittings do not compress sufficiently with an unmodified tool. The tool on the right is slightly bent inward - till on left is unmodified. Depending process must be done very very carefully to prevent breakage. Obviously this modification cannot be performed on the plastic ones. But the metal ones worked beautifully with these odd panels as well as my regular panels. A worthwhile purchased for my needs.

These are good quality, metal connectors that make disconnecting my solar cables a breeze. Definitely worth the money vs. cheaper plastic models.
